What Metallica did to Jason Newsted is so sad, and no apology will do. They should get together with him, redo “and justice for all”, because let’s just say it: there was no justice, and then pay him 100% of the proceeds. It would be a start.

It sounds awesome congrats but try not to take him to TOO MANY. Concerts have insanely loud high decibel music, and that young of an age, his ears can be pretty sensitive. One or two are okay, but if you become a frequent concert enthusiast he may lose his hearing before he even exits high school.

It took my mom literal years to understand the difference between bass and guitar. When it finally clicked she said "Can you play this?" It was Twilight Zone by Golden Earing. The entire bass line is just a G 8th note chug for the entire song. And I literally pulled it out by ear in 10 seconds and played it, and she was like "Yah that's so groovy!". I love the bass with only a single string. For most pop music, that’s all you really need on bass. Finishing up with some Geddy Lee made me smile.
