Fibromyalgia has many symptoms but I will summarize it as follows. To me, fibromyalgia often feels like walking a blazing hot desert while having the flu. You are carrying a large backpack full of bricks and you have no water. The desert is endless. You are absolutely exhausted and the pain that you feel has broken your spirit. For those of you suffering from fibromyalgia, I respect you and send you best wishes.

Burning arms & shoulders .. burning knees & legs , sleep disturbances ,forgetfulness & the mind going blank , spasms & twitches in random places , stiffness & complete utter exhaustion ..😞 And to top it off The complete ignorance of the world around of what you are going through makes this an extremely lonely journey, I am terrified 💔
@Kindlycallmecarebear

My first husband verbally abused me because I didn’t appear to be sick to him, he would say “Get off your ass.” And “Oh eight hours of sleep isn’t enough? You need more?” He would constantly compare himself to me saying things like “I don’t hit the snooze button five times, I wake up without an alarm. Your just lazy.” He was such a POS. I divorced him which came as a total shock because he was trying to get his green card by me. I felt if I didn’t divorce him I would be rewarding him for having no compassion for me. To anyone who reads this DO NOT STAY WITH ANYONE THAT DOES NOT ACCEPT YOUR LIMITATIONS. If your partner is not in harmony with your fibro and how it limits you then that person can never see your full potential because you have to start from where YOU are, not from someone else’s expectations. 😌

I totally feel and relate to everything you just described. Look after yourself. It can be a lonely journey and you need to be your own advocate . Unless you experience it it’s difficult to explain and it’s a very individualised condition so even talking with fellow warriors it does vary with severity. Never compare yourself to others and be kind to others but especially to yourself.

I am constantly tired, sore shoulders, hips, knees that click constantly lol. I have the very same symptoms in addition to heaviness, doing simple tasks takes courage or postponed indefinitely. Fibrofog terrible. Sometimes I feel as if I am losing my mind. I Ed exercise only when the body feels like it. Quality of life affected a great deal. Just take one day at a time and do not force myself to do anything until the body is ready. A new way of living but have to embrace it without being hard on myself.

Diagnosed at 23, I will be 44 next month. When I was diagnosed the majority of doctors thought it wasn’t even real. Those were fun times! I’ve also worked in the medical field most of my life. It is getting better guys, but even my husband of 3 years doesn’t get it. He understands other illnesses he cannot see, like diabetes, but he never (thankfully( yell at his child to rip off his insulin pump and then be confused as to why his blood sugar is out of control. I am just lazy though. Sad, but that’s how it works for some of us.

Thank you for sharing! It’s important to talk about. We can feel connected to others who understand our journeys. Fibromyalgia isn’t taken easily when told to someone and it can make those who have it feel isolated and alone, which doesn’t care for the mentality side of a chronic illness. Support and love can do wonders for someone who’s unwell so thank you for bringing me some comfort today.

My fibro manifested at age 3 or before. Undiagnosed until age ten they originally thought it was juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, wasn't until my late 20s they finally decided it was Fibro. Best I can describe it is having my entire body set on fire after being run over by a truck with railroad spikes driven into my joints. Cold feels like acid. My head is full of cotton. There are bathroom difficulties. I would not wish this on an enemy, let alone such a lovely young woman. Very sad. I wish you the best and hope your doctors find you a good treatment regimen. O.o

Im saving up for a purple brand mattress but I ordered a purple seat cushion that is doing wonders in the meantime. A little unrelated but I have widespread nerve pain as well. The sheets on the bed hurt my skin. Wearing any form fitting pants hurts unless I religiously take 3 different sedating medications. My ex was not understanding whatsoever. He hated me for it. When I have a really bad flare-up it feels like there is an army of ants wearing hob-nailed boots marching up and down my legs, especially the lower leg. It also feels like someone is twisting my forearms like one wrings out a washcloth/dishcloth. When it's real bad I lay in bed on my side and hug a huge bed pillow. I rock (or roll) back and forth, back and forth. This then feels like muscles are rubbing back and forth on each other under the skin and this helps distract and soothe the pain. I have had fibro for 34 years now. A word of encouragement to those recently diagnosed. When I was first diagnosed the doctor told me I would need to learn to live with the pain that there was nothing they could really do to help other than a few pain meds. But he did say that symptoms usually lessen after five years. Five years! When you are first diagnosed that seems like F-o-r-e-v-e-r. But living day-by-day, moment-by-moment the five years pass and it does get less intense : D Just continue to pace yourself to try and avoid flare-ups. And yes, I feel the "flu" and concrete cinder block shoes all the time. Sigh.

My body constantly feels wore out, like I’m to exhausted to breath, slow motion all the time, feels like I’ve got a ball n chain hooked to my limbs when ever I move. and I’m constantly so tired I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Yet I manage to pull the mask of bravery on to get through every day as normal, laugh, joke enjoying life, people around me with out complaint cause nobody understands how i feel. I had an arthritis specialist tell me 8 years ago there was nothing wrong with me cause I was happy and smiling through my appointment . My God I really feel for you people as I'm reading the comments (I don't have fibromyalgia), I only recently became interested in chronic pain after having constant nerve pain but I can sort that out and get help but you guys can't and just about cope with it (I had no idea of what the word chronic meant until now). I am a clairevoyant into peoples anatomy and as I tuned in to see what might be going on (its never really clear but good as a pointer) it seems it could be something to do with a fungi in the gut possibly branching itself out throughout the body, like a parasite sucking the bodies energy but causing pain and confusion within the bodies channels (the signaling). I feel if this is so maybe a clense (good old nettles) like a flush of the gut and the introduction of anti oxidants (Honey (get the good type) and raw non processed cacao, good leafy greens (preferably foraged like dandilion)) to get rid of the fungal network. But this just a possible pointer. I really feel for you guys and I wish you all the best and help comes to you.

Just found your video. And considering getting checked out... So I'm not sure when it started (I'm thinking when I fell last winter), my sternum started to hurt and one day it popped. Which led to major pain that led me to a chiropractor visit. I think its Costochondritis. It'd be tender and it hurts to move suddenly. Anyway, Recently I was taking allergy medicine and I was feeling my Bicepts ache, so I researched the medicine to see if it was causing the pain and muscle pain was indeed a side effect. To say the least, i stopped taking it. Not long after that i was sleeping and was jolted awake by pain in my upper leg. I've been getting these pains off and on for like two weeks in both legs and sometimes my arms. My back seems to always be stiff, my knees crack quite often and my joints and sometimes it feels like my whole hand or feet will get a dull pain. I've also gotten sharp pains in my finger tips and toes. Are these symptoms similar to yours?
