Andy Gibb had it all: Looks, money, talent, and most of all, the support of his brothers, The Bee Gees. None of those things could help conquer his demons.
I had such a massive crush on Andy when he hit the scene. Everything in my room had his face all over it. Such a shame. Addiction takes too many talented people.

We actually "hung-out" for two years and then circumstances, as they may be, changed and my father was re-located to the USA. We spent quite a bit of time together as his music career was expanding. Hanging around together gave me an opportunity to meet a lot of girls! Andy knew many girls because of his early "stardom." Well, as fate has it sometimes, I had to move away with my Father and never got to see Andy again. In all honesty, I would not have had the opportunity anyway since (as we all know) he passed away tragically. I had lot's of fun with him. Typically, I nicknamed him "Gibby!" I miss dear Andy! @Elm TreeABC / What a load of CRAP! Andy (RIP), may have been talented, although it’s hard to say to what extent - during his performances PLAYBACK was used. His very soft voice (NOT strong at all) was amplified while recording in the studio, together with backup vocals. But MOST importantly, Andy’s fame and success should be entirely credited to his extremely TALENTED Gibb brothers, who paved Andy’s road to success by COMPOSING, WRITING and FINANCING his career. What did Andy accomplish by himself, SOLO? He dropped out of school early and moved to Australia to join a band that failed miserably. With no career in sight, came back to England, and solely thanks to his brothers (mainly Barry), his career finally kicked off. Once established, all Andy had to do is continue to look attractive and sing. Instead, he single-handedly ruined his career and health with excessive alcohol and drugs. The sad truth is that without Barry and his two other brothers’ enormous artistic/financial input/support, we would have never heard of Andy Gibb as a performer.

What a beautiful story this video is. Nicely put together. I knew him for a short while, when he came to our junior school in Hendon London. He was such a happy boy, the family rented a house in hendale ave , it was when they came back from Australia. Such a short life, it’s always a shame DRUGS came into his life. RIP Andy 🙏💖

I, too, have been listening to them since I was 16 years old. I don't shy away from other music either, but I always go back to the Bee Gees and Andy Gibbs. For me, they are whole and part of my life. It was on their musical message that I shaped my character. Today I am 59 years old and I still listen and rediscover the music of the Bee Gees and Andy GibbaThis film is a beautiful tribute to the memory of the artist. Greetings to the creators of the video and all loyal fans

The words of a well known Australian come to mind when watching this video. Ned Kelly. Such Is Life. Do what you can with it while you can. That is how i look at anyone,s life. We all have our path. Thanks for this, there’s a lot of stuff I didn’t know, however, the final statement about what his ‘demons’ were about was pure conjecture and very simplistic, I’m sure his ‘demons’ ran way deeper than an ‘inability to see himself as his fans saw him’ - depression is never that simple
