Not having ever seen the other videos, Id love to see them all, but if there's content that brings it all up to date (finding the property, the solar, building the "camp", first views of the property (before and after)), any culture shock from moving to another country, etc.) would love to see them too :) Just keep making it, doing it, and growing it, and we'll keep watching it :)

My top3 chapters! 😊 1) your process of finding a house, the different houses you visited, why you ended up picking Sertã and what made you choose that house ; 2) the process thought of building your temporary accommodation, kitchen and bathroom. 3) your findings on the wood structure inside the house and why you choose lime as a building material. ( I did not forget the water system, which would be 4th for me!)

I watched a lot of your older videos and the bathroom re-sizing video comes to mind, where Kylie did a lot of working out of measurements and the digging up of the floors in the rooms you've just limed. Wow that was excruciating to see you both digging those out. I was so sad when your channel disappeared then elated when I saw your new one xxx

The answering in this video is helping me so much understanding your story. I found this channel a few months ago and always felt like I missed out on something, but when I checked your vids on this channel I couldnt find older ones that helped me to make the puzzle complete. So thank you, cant wait to see older vids!!! A big compliment that even without the whole story, and dealing with that feeling of missing something (haha), I still got hooked and fell in love with your channel! Greetings from The Netherlands :)

Thanks for the "clarification" of what happened to your old channel. I found you under the old name and loved that you had a property that was large enough to homestead on, yet was in a village so you had easier access to stores, etc. I think you have the best option for many people who would like to do something similar in Portugal. Being rural is nice but in an emergency or with rising petrol prices, it may not be the best option for people. Keep doing what you are doing. I would like a video on how you plan to use all your land in the future, if you have thought that out. Your channel is so refreshing and always encourages me to get outside and do something in my garden. Cheers.

One of the old videos that made me subscribe to you was when you did the walls inside the house with the wrong lime. The fact that you listened to the comments and the way you admitted your mistake and fixed it was so refreshing and I've been a fan ever since. It’s a wonderful story about a great project. Please keep it going. The house will look fantastic, once the work is done… unfortunately, winters are often cold and damp, and summers are dry and hot. Have to plan accordingly. For some reason, chickens in Portugal are prolific in egg laying and breeding. For the true country feeling, you could try other animals too. Any place for a pond, or is water in short supply?

Lots to enjoy in the old videos! I liked the battle, over several videos, with cutting grass and other unwanted foliage resulting in upgrades of mowers .... Then there is the tech side of things - including the weather station - why that particular inverter, that power output of solar etc. Sounds like that is coming anyway. I hoped we would see a look back at the data from the weather station - how hot does it get, how cold, how long do dry periods last, how much rain have you had in a year? Have you changed the power supply, data recording for it? (I owned a middling version for many years and always intended doing more re web publishing, Raspberry Pi use, upgrading, repositioning, spreadsheets ...)

Thanks so much for explaining what happened. I was curious, but also realized it was ultimately none of my business. I’m just happy to have re-found you, and happy you have rebuilt your following, (and made it to the other side of that ordeal). I personally don’t care what your name is. But I think you’re right about having to wear that badge, and then justify your actions in relationship to it, (especially among the more “rigid” thinkers). 😜 “Make.Do.Grow” is definitely a more expansive direction. My request for an archive video would be the designing and making of the deck area on the round cement “thing-a-ma-bob” (technical term) 😀 where you set up your tent.
