Holy False Equivalence Batman. Klay had 2 injuries that directly impact explosiveness. People have been saying since before he did the Achilles that he wouldn't be the same player when he came back. Klay has 2 thinks over Simmons though. A jump shot and a winning mentality. These problems with Simmons pre-date the injury he had. Problems he's refused to fix. For years everyone's said he needs a jumper and he's done nothing to find one. For years people have said he needs to work on his free throws and he hasn't. And then his fear of the line has led to him not even being able to score inside, which he won't fix. Klay was the perfect second option before the injury, and there's probably no amount of time you can give him to get him back to where he was. But he still has value as a SG that can sit in the corner and act as a target for Steph when he's getting doubled. What does Simmons provide offensively? And how much time does he need to provide more?

here's why, the guy has believed in his own hype, he had people around him telling him he doesn't need to work on his craft and he believes them, give a kid millions and millions of dollars and this is what you end up with, the kid wasn't mature to begin with, being a man isn't being 7 ft or a good ball player, it's more mental than anything, and he lacks that, he's actually succumbing to the pressure and to the spotlight, it's a player right before your eyes cracking up, it's known in psychology, but you're seeing it nationally on a daily basis, he's cracking up, I am a sixers fan and I always said, [do to playoff outcomes] Simmons doesn't have it, neither does Embiid, they just aren't built tough, it's sad because I want the sixers to win, but the window is now closed for them, they had 5 years to do it, and now the nets have Simmons, and his story isn't finished yet, he can still come back from this, but it's not looking good..
