I wasn't a Christopher Kimball hater but I do enjoy the shows more since he left. I LOVE America's Test Kitchen and Cooks Country!! Bridget and Julia are great together and I honestly love the whole cast. There is something so comforting about watching both shows and I watch them over and over again. I know it sounds silly but the cast feel like friends since I have been watching both shows for so long.

I liked when Chris Kimball hosted the show. There was a real chemistry between Kimball and Bridget Lancaster that was very noticable in a good way on ATK. They both seemed to play well off each other which made the show more interesting and fun. I still watch the show but in my opinion ATK was more compelling when everyone wasn't smiling all the time and agreeing with each other.

SHAME on me or anyone else in comparing one member of ATK vs or to another. Each is richly unique in what they bring to any given show and thoroughly enjoyable. THAT SAID I am compelled to sing the praises of Lan Lam. I always, literally always learn and take away some new bit of information. And invariably I am left wanting more! Having watched quite a few shows both old and new, it took a while for me to learn CK wasn’t with ATK anymore. However, that didn’t deter me because the show revolved around different cohosts presenting different elements of a kitchen environment not just recipes. I wasn’t attached to any one host of the show, but I’m glad the other cohosts have either stepped up or found their own show but still contribute to ATK at some point.

Watching episodes and their online segments is like eating comfort food. It's the happy place where I can escape and even learn a few things. I've recently started watching the shows on Pluto and Freevee because I can watch any time 24/7. The old CK shows are painful to watch sometimes. His hand gestures are distracting.
