Wow, that video was great. That’s exactly how I think too. I’m a huge fan of his art and that won’t change (I still listen to Ye too). Obviously these allegations were hard to read. Especially with Toms name and philosophy being tied close to his art. I’ve watched pretty much everything you can find only and it is true that Tom has his own philosophy in his studio, It is also kinda part of his work process. I also follow some of his employees and never heard anything bad tbh. Nowadays it is also much easier to cancel someone because if your not 100% politically correct your canceled (sometimes also with wrong allegations like with Gosha who was proofen wrongly accused). And like you said these are allegations for now. I’m not defending him here but this is just a fact. And nike knows this as well so they rather cut ties than getting canceled in any way too. As I said earlier this threw a dark shadow but I still appreciate his art. It’s unfortunate that the collab ended because I really enjoyed his releases. But yeah thanks for the video

Thank you for sharing your additional thoughts, I haven’t heard anything negative from the studio members I’ve interacted with over the years either. They actually said the opposite of this article. A lot of things in life are based one one’s own perception and perspective and that will never change. All in all I don’t want to see anyone harmed. That’s obvious. I think everyone should be open minded in these situations and hear both sides instead of immediately taking a side. Figure out the truth and go from there. The intention of this video was to explain my rationale in that regard. Appreciate the response 🙌🏼

very conflicted still about the whole situation, but continue to wear my pair at the post office. idk if you ever saw on social media but tom actually responded to my dm about my soles falling apart, and his team sent me a new pair. very shocked and saddened about the situation, but i’m very lucky no one at my work knows who he is lol

Sounds like he hired some selfish people. An artist should strive to have their own studio and place to express, execute, & exhibit their art in his or her own way. If you don’t agree with anyone’s “way” you can leave them to it. I understand in the corporate scene but this is an art studio. A job is not a job in this instance. I wanna hear stories of anyone challenging him on some of the stuff he did and how that went.

Geez Doesn’t really matter if there’s good things about him if he murders one baby he’s a baby murderer you get what I’m saying doesn’t matter if you do tons of good things and then raped two girls you’re still a rapist the guy is a creep a literal creep from the words of the people who actually knew him personally don’t offend makes you look like you may be like the man don’t go down that path brother trust me

Imagine having carved out such a small niche on KZitem as the Tom Sachs guy that you have to make a video defending someone you've never met that wears no pants in the office, has a "rape room", tried to produce shoes with a box that said "work like a slave" and has multiple allegations of harassment. Sad. Make a video next about how you like Kyrie Irving shoes not because they perform well, but because Kyrie is such a good dude...

@@BlakeYarbrough No, you are ignorant. Literally said he can run his company however he wants as long as he isn't harassing anyone, yet he's being accused of harassment. That's the definition of ignorance. You can take the stance of separating art from the artist, but to try and defend his actions is just clearly pandering to Sachs fans for views and likes because that's all you got 🤷♂

You didn’t watch the whole video or you chose to interpret it in a way that fits your own thoughts. Not my problem. Also not here to try and convince you or anyone else to feel one way or another. Agree or disagree, stand up for yourself with morality and fairness. That’s all I’ve got to say

@@BlakeYarbrough I did watch the whole video, you beat around the bush dismissing the allegations and then said it's his business he can do what he wants. That's ignorant, but I get it because you have to cater to your audience of people who watch your reviews about him and the shoes. Nobody with good morals would support the actions he is accused of, unless they have to get clicks and views. That's sad.

Hey man, think whatever you want. You don’t know anything about the Tom Sachs story besides what you read on the internet and you don’t know me either. Its weird how comfortable you are making all these assumptions but it doesn’t bother me. You probably didn’t think I’d read this or reply but I hope you find something positive in your day to spend some time on ✌🏼

I feel what your saying but all this right now is speculation. I want to find good out of all this too so we can get a damn Mars Yard 3.0 however; if it is true, than life goes on and enjoy what was released to us. Artists are weird generally and I have a MFA. Im weird at times and can seem to offend people probably. People are much more sensitive nowadays and on the other side to your point, younger generations can’t handle criticism very well. Hopefully Nike has a campaign for forgiveness. Now give me some 3.0 Tommy Guns!
