We are working on our exit strategy after 4 years as actual full time rv travelers. A home base would be nice but the stress of owning a home while traveling is a big change. We have moved over 160 times in 4 years, with a big fifth wheel. We are working on making our youtube channel a real job, it started as a hobby but now is realistic a real alternative to having real jobs. First time on your channel, hope to see you on the road someday. I found your channel by looking for a bike rack, im getting ready to do a 1UP vs Kuat bike rack video, and doing some research. Your video was awesome because it was very authentic. Keep making those videos, youtube hates big pauses on a channel, hard to come back. Larry

That's outstanding Larry that you're able to pull enough from KZitem. I'm familiar with your great KZitem channel. We went full force into our website/blog with occasional videos, but we're heading back out on the road in a few weeks, so will have more content. Good call on the comparison video. After corresponding, I sincerely hope our paths cross on the road. Stay well!

Great to see how positive that change is for you…but most of all, the way you present it! It’s not « failure » to change one’s mind! It’s the very nature of being flexible enough to recognize that a change is needed…and adapt! Good luck!

We really appreciate the kind words! We built our business on trial and error and found that we loved learning that way. Also, many things don't evolve as planned. We look forward to new challenges. Thank you so much for commenting and following along! We wish you well!

We're definitely working our way towards permanent a homebase. Lots of variables delaying our progress, but they're still worthwhile variables. You're style of snowbirding is the most desirable. Appreciate you commenting!

I’ve been full time for almost 2 years in my RV. But you have to plan for it. If you think you’re going to “make it big” on KZitem, to offset your costs, you’re dreaming. Those of us full timers are out here for the love of the freedom of it. We wouldn’t give it up for the world. Full time nomadic life is not for everyone, especially those who think they can survive off KZitem.

We never believed KZitem was going to be our source of income. After owning a solid business for 20 years, we never suffered from that illusion. We did it because we wanted a documented journey for our boys to have as they age (and selfishly us too). But ultimately, the channel helped a lot of people and offered us many new great relationships (and it was and still is fun). We found nothing but good people as we traveled. The initial decision to take a break was for our boys. We could tell they were really craving some stability and more time with their old friends. So, we decided to "reset," as part timers with a small place of our own again. Our finances would have allowed 10 years of travel without ever working. But we're young and can't seem to shed the "entrepreneur gene" and we didn't want to erode away our financial cushion before using it to build something else. We love being on the road and will soon return as part time nomads. With the right business choices, we may evolve our part time travels to world travels. Global travel served me well as a youth and I want our boys to have the same experience. Our blog and channel is all about taking risks, resetting, learning new skill sets and experiencing what great things life has to offer. We sincerely appreciate you following along and commenting. Wishing you all the best!
