Hi Mr Wayman. Hope my comment won't bother you. I'm a little french writer and for one of my stories, which takes place in New York, I have 3 questions that I can't find a clear answer to on the Internet. I need to know if it’s possible to sue an FDNY firefighter (not the crew, just one of them), after a rescue that ended with the amputation of the leg of the person rescued. Maybe a "reckless endangerment" ? For my story, I just need to get to a preliminary hearing, which would end in a dismissal. Another important question: can a teammate of the firefighter be called as a witness by the prosecution? Last one : Do juvenile records show up on background checks in New York ? Thank you in advance if you decide to help me (and sorry for my poor english).
