I’ve been on a ketogenic diet for several years but decided to go teetotaler on added sugars this year. Mainly as a stance against the food industry. >0g added sugar and it goes back on the shelf. Eliminates 95% of the items in the grocery store.

You're on the button. Glucose down from 5.6 to 4.6 now 3 months later. 2 kgs lighter and feeling alot Healthier. I Cut out bread eating more meat but still certain veg and fruit. Thank you Doc❤

Using the glycemic index may also help you. Consider making the transition to lower carbs slowly. Take your time and monitor your blood sugars more frequently. Please also inform your doctor that you'll be doing this.

I did that 4 and had to go on insulin. My glucose would not go down below 300 and after a while it would go up 349 and more. Four months of no sugar, bad oils, sodas or juices only meat, eggs, veggies and cheeese.

You need to eat a lot of fats then, you need to eat more calories than your daily need, mostly fats, like nuts and fatty meat, I'm on low carb, and I maintained my weight.
