The Arizona portion of his career allows for a sequel. What he did in Arizona was AMAZING. Prior to Warner’s tenure, the Cardinals had never won the NFC, much less the Super Bowl. In fact, they had only made it to the playoffs 6 times despite being established in 1898. In Warner’s tenure, he led Arizona on 2 playoff runs, their only NFC championship, and their first trip to the Super Bowl. Absolutely incredible.

The problem for Arizona or well I guess Chicago/St Louis Cardinals was how you got to the Championship in the early days before a playoff bracket would be established. Specifically 1964, where they were half a game out of getting to the Championship but at the start of their season had to play 6 weeks on the Road due to the MLB St Louis Cardinals going on a World Series Run including a loss to Indy which would've sent them to the Championship had they won it. There was also a 10-4 Season under Don Coryell where they missed the Playoffs due to tying with Washington.

Not an underdog, Michigan, drafted, supported, team always built to succeed. Warner often had to re-prove himself, constant doubt...Brady is that guy in school doing everything to get the spot. Warner is the guy everyone wishes they routed for when the meet him at the reunion. Brady has been so protected it's obscene and smartly went to the team with the best pass protection line in football--Warner had to settle with the losing post season king of PROFESSIONAL SPORTS, not just the NFL...and still fight to get past that entitled brat Leinert -- got through 2 coaches--and then pulled that team to it's feet. The story is so much better when you look deeper. The NFL pushes this happy story narrative like they all believed in him...Not true, they left for the Cleveland Browns to take in the expansion draft. Warner's time in STL was ruined by Martz who fell in love with Warner's ability/and the offense--abandoned the run....Warner got lit up and sent out of town...If he had Brady's situation...OMG...that would be amazing. On the other hand, if Brady had to play in Warner's shoes, he wouldn't be an underdog...he'd be underground. Kinda weird Brady is putting out this documentary--he produced--trying to control all aspects of his narrative.
