I still think that it would be really cool if the French, since they are kind of tank focused, could move their tanks just like the normal units. In contrast to the other factions whose tanks would follow the normal just charge without stopping. Super cool potential to this game!

1. I would say that the unique units come first because you can get Dan to create the skill tree for the units. 2. The gas masks should be further down the skill tree as Dan makes the gas bomb attack pointless. 3. The soldiers can figure it out. The tanks are running and have a defense improvement of Dan 4. As a new country I would say Austria Hungary, the yellow soldiers 5 baguette mode as a secret

I have an idea for the British faction. Maybe instead of having a individual special unit that is Anzac related, maybe have a certain percentage chance to have the units spawn with a special skin that would represent the different countries under the British Empire. Like a Australian hat, or a Indian turban, or a special Canadian helmet color or uniform. Then have a different special unit for the Brits.

Baron here is an idea, when you add the Russians, make their special focus be sheer numbers but make them have a weakness being that troops have a high percent chance of misfire as to represent the supply shortage the Russians had during ww1 and their special tank can be the Tzar tank and their heavy tanks can be imported Mk.1

I think it would be a great idea for the player to be able to drag and select troops and guide where they go: such as on the flanks, or hold behind a river, instead of everyone in a trench going always at once.

Maybe add the ability to build tunnels or trenches to connect trench’s together so your troops can move faster and have a higher chance of surviving from artillery or gun shots when crossing no man’s land.

That could be like ten medal cost, so if you buy it, it sets a time limit on the game in favor of the one who bought it (ie. MW2 nuke or Saitama in that OPM fighting game)

I would add the Mark IV Female to the game as the British machine gun tank. I would also add different models for the artillery at the bases. (The French Model 1897 75mm cannon, and the german big birtha artillery) I would also consider having multiple bases to destroy for either side, (So battles aren’t so quick and have the further base with the massive artillery guns) to add to the immersive experience… At the end of the day, these are just suggestions in my personal opinion and in no way have to be considered.

Maybe you should also add in a tank Digout that you can add on wherever you want onto your trenches so then the tanks can actually stay in your trenches instead of just continuously going until they eventually get to the end or die

Honestly I think an idea of adding unique weapons for the basic riflemen would be good. Each factions rifle unit should have a different gun according to what the iconic or most used weapon of that faction is.

I think seeing the unique upgrades first would be awesome and make each faction feel a little different faster than the unique unit, the game already has a nice amount of unit types, I'm a sucker for upgrade trees but would definitely not mind seeing the other options first! :)

I think the unique units should come first, and my ideas of which would be: France: Foreign Legionnaire: Cheap compared to the other unique units, but the most expansive infantry unit in the game (Cost should be about 300-450 stars, and either 1-2 medals). Essentially, it's an elite unit, armed with a regular rifle, however he has 80% accuracy, reloads 50% faster than regular riflemen, and the second longest range after a sniper. He also has a 20% damage resistance and a 20% speed buff. He also gives a morale bonus to units around him, meaning he gives a 10% accuracy and 10% speed buff to surrounding units. As for the UK, I'm not sure, but maybe the Gun Carrier Mark 1 (you might recognise it as the Uber Tank from Toy Soldiers, but trust me, it's real!)? It has the longest range of all units in the game, but its also the second slowest (I'll explain why in a moment) and the weakest tank in the game. It fires one, fairly accurate artillery round once every 15 seconds. As for the price, you can decide. As for the Germans, I think it should be the K-Wagen, which you should also remember from Toy Soldiers, but again, it's real. It has by far the most health of all units in the game (2 times healthier than the heavy tank), two main guns, two machines guns and one flamethrower. It is also by the far the most expensive unit in the game (1500-2500 stars (you choose the medals)). It is also the slowest unit in the game, moving at a snails pace.

ANZACs were famous for spearheading raids as shock troops and performing hit-and-run tactics during the Great War so maybe a speed buff or buff when fighting outside of trenches. Additionally, the Australian Light Horse was famous for their contributions in the middle east and even though they didn't serve on the Western Front, through the rule of cool I say the ANZAC unique unit is horsemen who dismount when in trenches but when an attack is declared, mount and charge the enemy on horseback and shoot and move like shotgunners, but don't stay stationary in no man's land and constantly move back and forth decreasing the chance they would be hit.

I'm suggesting more unique terrain for each of the maps, say we have some elevated or lowered terrain that's harder to cross. Along with a overhaul of how the trenches look like (They're pretty ugly). Say make some of the trenches go in different direction (one going diagonal, one has squiggly lines, etc), actual natural looking sandbags, and possibly barbed wire.

In my opinion the passive buff will make the region difference felt by the player as soon as they load in they country. It will lead to different archetypes and ppl can chose to master one and get to know every neat trick with the passive but whenever they feel like it they can always change their playstyle

For passive buffs: Germany has another level of trench upgrades and specializes in chemical warfare. They also have a 20% weaker machine gunners and lower chance of taking a French trench. The French can stealthily invade german trenches and have a lower cooldown for the infantry spawning. They will have a longer cooldown for snipers and the snipers will only have a 60% accuracy rate. The British will have slightly stronger men and have more accurate artillery shots. They also will have a buff on light tanks but heavy tanks will be nerfed. They will have very bad trenches which can only go up to level 2 and have a buff on flamethrower spawn. The flamethrowers will have a bad AOE

In my opinion, Germans should have ability/tech tree that promotes early-game aggression, but get defensive buffs late-game, similarly to real life, when Germany was aggressive and on offense, going defensive in the late stages of war I kinda support Baron's idea of super heavy tank for the french, they really could be armoured/tank faction I like the idea of British representing the commonwealth, maybe add British Raj(India) too

I think that a good way to make every faction diffrent is to give each faction its own unique unit's and tech tree based on what technological difference they hed Compared to other faction's other suggestion's: add more faction's like the russian empire, austro-hungary and the ottoman empire. Question of the day: I think a unit will get you the most views, but of course a tech upgrade will give more playtime. Units for each faction: Germany: a stormtrooper that has a submachine gun, and moves extremely fast. France: french foreign legionnaire is a unit that can survive more than one shot, and don’t get affected by weather Great Britain: the British unit is the royal marine, a unit that gets buffs in water, and doesn’t get slowed in water, actually it gets faster! And finally my own wish, PLEASE make multiplayer, it will make me so happy

For passive buffs, give UK faster gold production because they are rich, for France give them an offensive buff, and for Germany give them better defensive buff. For unique units, I think that the French should get the French foreign legion, who maybe have better health, for UK the Gurkhas who have better melee or are faster, and Germany have stormtroopers who have better offensive ability or have grenade spam.

i think that the active buffs would be really cool and the british at least should get a tank related active buff because they invented the tank . therefore they used more tanks than any other nation during the war and it would demonstrate how good the mark 5 was during the war. Also Overpowered Tanks! in relation to the minor powers of the war after you choose your main faction you can choose your sub faction eg the ANZAC who would grant like a unique unit for you to use.

One idea would be to add a campaign map mode and a sandbox mode to the home screen of the game and when you press campaign mode, it shows a map of Europe with historic battles that you had to complete to advance on the enemy capital e.g Playing as the British or German the Battle of Somme.

I'd like to see the Buffs first and foremost, so you can start properly balancing and tweaking the units, based on the difference between the factions. Matchups will be something to think about. On the other Handy I'd like a new Armoured Car for every faction, which could do what the schneider would do anyways, so you can bring in the Saint-Chamaud. Balance is the most important part right after the Passive Buff!!

I have two things to say: 1: I think the color for the french is too bright, I think it should be a more muted dark blue so it fits alongside the british and the german colors 2: As a fix to the tanks, they should have greater range BUT they don't stop moving when they fire, this should fix problems for the heavy tanks being way too slow to reach the range they need to shoot, and should work better alongside infantry attacks so they stay in front to protect them and be used to punch through defenses (as they did in real like)

You should add allied aid for the teams. So here’s the idea I have, you should have the special unit in each team be the allied aid so you can have other exclusive units from other teams. The price for allied aid should be 300-400. I think but it’s your choice.

You should start with passive buffs to make the units feel different from one another and then make unique units to continue the uniqueness of each faction, such as lots of artillery for the British or Flamethrowers for the Germans. Another thing should be special abilities.Each faction should be able to have an ability that either helps with defense or offense.For example, Creeping Barrage for the British or Reinforcing Units for the French.(These are examples)

I think in each nation there should be some sort of upgrade/research line for tanks, where the more you upgrade/research the tanks, the cheaper/better they get, example: French FT-17, start off with only the MG variant, upgrade it and get the cannon variant, or the Char 2C, start off with the 75mm variant, upgrade it once or twice and get the Char 2C Bis variant with the 150mm howitzer.

have trench combat so normal units storm the trench and do mealy combat but chosen units hold back and provide support . also have different Countries have deferent units and stats. as in only the Americans had shot guns and they had great small arms so make them better at Assaulting. only the Germans had flamethrowers butt they only had a few tanks so make them more expensive. the British had the best bolt action rifle of ww1 and they had lots of tanks so make infantry fire faster and tanks cheaper for them. the French had bad mgs and tanks butt were the best at defending so take that into consideration. the Russa had lots of men so Maby cheap infantry. also please have reparable trenches and tone down artillery. PS read sid mieirs memoir the creator of the civilization games he has a lot of good advice for fellow game creators like you.

For me the unique debuff/buff makes factions stand out (+ unique units but the former is most defining in my opinion). Also something I would adore to eventually see is unique maps with different terrains, like mountains where movement speed is lowered and tanks can't be used instead getting GebirgsJägers and if a Italian faction is added Arditi, or muddy terrain wich causes damage over time to vehicles and slows Infantry. This would make every game feel unique but I understand that's stuff for way later on. Coming back to other factions tho, Italians (with the Arditi and perhaps Mule's wich carry supplies wich increase damage from troops beside it) and Bulgarians (their unique unit would be special Cavalry due to them being the last to see any real major succes using it in WW1 or if every faction will have Cavalry give them a buff for it) (For Austria-Hungary could have River monitor Firing support. Seeing as their river navy supported many ground offensives in the war it could make sense. But obviously their debuff should be weaker Infantry due to the mess of a high command they had) Russia should have cheaper infantry, but a buff that does give them Slightly more health (or a unique ability that raises a few units back from the dead at half health, inspired by Attack of the Dead men) and a debuff that lowed fire rate or damage due to supply shortages. Sorry I am really just spitballing ideas here, I just love this game, love your channel and to this day I am still extremely happy I found your channel back in the day

Maybe give all the nations an ultimate unit that has to be unlocked, aswell as an ultimate upgrade. For the French, it could be that their tanks have 50% more healthy, GB could have the commonwealth, which give them Accessoires to a) more Gold or b) fester United spawn rate. For the Germans, I reckon giving a second machine gun Nest For 3 trenches of your choice or giving them the ability to place barbwire to slow units down or smth in that direction

Britain could have a buffed eco but upgrades cost more (slightly because it was so large) and troops take slightly longer to spawn as well. Could also make one it’s special units a high power rifle men from the British expeditionary force.

Also a cool thing about the creeping barrage, it was used to create some sort of trench and smokescreen as they moved on. It think it would be cool to add so that the enemy would miss theyr shots if it was there

some of the best ideas from the comments: - Flamethrowers explode and kill a nearby unit on death - Red baron plane flys by and strafes a trench - Medic troop or grenadier unit as unique units - 3 new factions - Austria hungary = yellow, stronger units - USSR = red, force of numbers - USA = green, cheaper units - anti tank gun as an alternative to the machinegun - unique machine gun model for each faction (maxim, lewis, m1917, vickers) - artillery goes in a dugout pit at the rear sort of like a support trench to add visual interest - mortars also available, can be destroyed in the dugouts and buffed by having more units nearby - sandbox mode with unlimited money, and all units unlocked - retreat command to withdraw to trenches - more visual interest, like trees, mines, barbed wire, mud, craters, poppies, puddles and snow - a flare to disorientate enemies

Frankly I want this game to have a mobile port. I'm not gunna sit down to play this on my PC very often, because it just lends itself well to whipping your phone out, playing a few games, and putting it away. PC is a commitment to time for me lol Your controls are all already easy to port to touch controls

I think implementing a faction-based passive is the first thing you should do, like something that can really separate every faction to make them all unique so it would be something very recognizable for that nation like (bare in mind I know very little to nothing about ww1) russia would be sheer numbers britain may have skilled individual units but they cost more maybe because of transport costs to the front or training or they take longer to spawn, france their tanks and the passive may even simply just be to have a superheavy tank type, germans could have more fortified trenches and mine fields they can place down or they could have a increased defense stat when in a set of trenches. Also, not really a suggestion for the tech tree or passive but I think stickmen that are in trenches should fire at the enemy trenches so there are constantly bullets flying around and if you decide to push your guys start getting fired on immediately not just once they get close, which would require some tuning maybe turning down the defensive stat of infantry in trenches, it might also make the machine gun better in trenches because of sheer volume of bullets flying at the enemy trenches. in the end even if it is just visuals and doesn't actually damage the troops in the other trenches I think it could be interesting. maybe having connective trenches in the center 2 could also be good on some maps, where shotguns absolutely excell because for the most part i see 1 team controlling either both or neither of those trenches.

I still think that this game eventually needs some kind of campaign mode, one where you play out very unique battles, with a skill tree that you can level up outside of battles by winning encounters, and you can’t buy endless units, you have a certain amount to start with at the beginning of each battle, and whoever survives the battle gains experience (more dmg, faster fire rate, more health… etc) and can be used in the next battle

The idea of a fourth upgrade for German trenches is great but a upgraded bunker for the Germans would fit with the trench, a concrete bunker that was weak to flamethrower, snipers, and artillery/tanks but very strong against regular infantry. The bunker would also be destroyed leaving behind rubble that could be re upgraded to a tier 2 or 3 bunker.

For the Uk, you could always use the Anzac light horse (mounted infantry, fast-moving infantry on horseback that dismounts when engaged in combat) they also have the coolest hats

Update ideas: Carry supplies. For example, you need to send a unit to carry supply boxes that give upgrades, so you get a grenade box or scope box for those specific upgrades, grenades and accuracy. It would be like the machine gunner having to run up to a trench for the units that are staying in that trench to get the upgrade (They'll get it if they and the box are in the same trench.) And just the units doing more stuff in general. Maybe they set up their guns on the edge of a trench to protect a supply carrier or machine gunner running to their trench. I also had the idea for a trench upgrade tree. Like adding a little fort for a sniper to rest and snipe in, or adding traps like mines, wires, etc.

The whole Brit’s special tech should be the Canadians, if there was a problem the British and French couldn’t handle they sent in the Canadians, look up Vimy ridge, the Germans made it one of their most fortified positions in the entirety of ww1, the allies couldn’t take it after 2-3 years, the Canadians took it in less then 3 days

Loved the video @Baron! Can't wait for the next video of "Stickman Trenches" man! I think you've made plenty of Great Ideas for the Current Three Factions in this video Alone. • The French should have the Char 2C as a Super Heavy Tank since it was Designed in 1917. The St. Chamond should be the Heavy Tank, The Renault FT-17 the Standard Medium Tank with the Option to have either the Cannon or Machine Gun Armed Versions and then the Schneider Tank as the Light Tank. • The British should get the Creeping Barrage as an Artillery Upgrade, that way you can get a Line of Shells coming down on the Enemy's heads as you move up for the Attack. As for the Tanks, Please keep the Whippet and the Mark IV tanks as they were the Only Tanks that Britain Made during the war. In terms of Infantry, The ANZAC's could be a Nice Infantry Level Upgrade for the Riflemen and Machine Gunners, maybe even have their Hats folded up on the Left side (which means you're from Queensland, Australia) like you'll usually see most of the time or the Right (Which means you're from New Zealand, if I'm remembering that right). Their Specialty would be Inmproved Movement over Water and Mud as a Reference to the Dardanelles Campaign and the Landings at Gallipoli. The British Economy should be Strong but not to the point where it'll be the only faction people will ever play. If the Player were to get a few Extra Stars when Trading in Medals every, say 5 or 6 levels of Experience for example, then it's not too overpowered but you still have something to represent the Economy of the British Empire in World War One. • For the Germans, First off, absolutely love the Addition of the A7V tank and the Light Tractor is a Surprise that came out of nowhere since all I've ever known was the A7V. There is one Tank they had that never got beyond the Prototype stage of Development and both Prototypes were lost during the Final months of the war. It's known as the K-Wagen and it basically looks like a Stretch limo made out of an A7V with Rounded Front and Back. This could be Germany's Super Heavy Tank which begs the Question, Which Super Heavy is Better, the German K-Wagen or the French Char 2C? Stormtroopers for the German Infantry are Great and they should be able to get in close for the Assault and then be able to hold their Ground until Reinforcements come to Replenish any Losses Taken. The Fully Upgraded Trench for the Germans should probably have some Barbed Wire and some more Flooring, maybe even Logs instead of Sandbags as well. Someone should get spotting balloons, because world war 1 was basically the high point of artillery spotting hot air balloons. A rifle grenade user could be an alternate special unit to a mortar trooper for something of the same use of a shorter ranged explosive chucker, for someone's special unit. On the subject of grenades, napalm or incendiary grenades in general could also be an interesting special national tech perhaps? I also think that the tanks should really get their own generic research line that's not limited to just national tech stuff. When choosing what nations are special at, you probably shouldn't make final choices without considering what those choices lock off for nations that aren't in the game yet. IE, if someone is going to be the infantry specialists, does that mean that, say, american can't have the douhgboys for example? Or at least do some in advance consideration of how you can make them different before you lock anything in.

So for the UK there unit can be a Canadian trench raider with a spiked club and it runs faster than other units. And just for the memes the French can have a passive buff when you hit the retreat button the French are faster than any other country.

I have an Idea, Naval forces, they can be small boats that are in the water, or you could add a small river-like ocean with destroyers, to cross it you need to have transport boats which can be upgraded a small amount of times, you'll also need to load the transport ship with ammo or crates, here's how the mechanics should work: The transport ship will need to be filled with ammo or supply crates, and maybe you can add an ammo system, the soldiers will run out of ammo after 50+ shots, and they have to pick up a crate to reload, it might be hard to code, but trust me, it'll make the game relatively fair because players are humans, it's not like AI can learn and memorise the player's moves and strategies in order to defeat them. The warship/destroyer has 1 or 2 guns, but can easily be destroyed, these only stop enemy gas attacks and bombs, you can also have a timer to force you to attack the enemy instead of just waiting at your base and bomb the enemy till' they lose. In order for the game to have balance, you will need to buff the enemy forces a LOT in ocean maps, maybe give them bunkers or sentries? (You can also differ the enemy forts depending on the enemy country) Wish you luck, and this took me a good few hours, please consider making it because I worked so hard to imagine how this would work.

I totally agree with the fact that Germany should have a additional upgrade for the trenches and the machine gunner both should turn into a concrete bunker and they should have a poison gas that only germany has it. Also i think you should add a armored car option to deploy. Its the fastest vehicle but it almost has no armor.

A little small cool idea would be that the British would be able to spawn in units from the commonwealth, like a 5% being an Aussie, 5% being a kiwi, 5% being scottish, 5% being canadian, and another 5% for it to be an indian. A Small detail which would just make the game a lot more lively. Another one would be the weapons being more accurate, cuz it looks like everyone is using a lee einfield.

Perhaps add aircraft and AA turrets making bombers that work similar to Artillery, but having planes would be stoppable like having a fighter or AA take the bomber down. It would even look cool if you could add wreck sites on to the maps for more depth And when a plane goes down it would create a wreck site

You can add ww1 biplanes for the UK and Germany (not sure if other countries have them too) and make the bomber biplanes drop bombs and fighter biplanes do machine gun runs or counter bomber biplanes, you can also add zeppelins for the germans too. you should also add barbed wires that work by slowing down enemy troops, tanks and soldiers with wire cutters can destroy the barbed wires. You can also add suppliers that can give food and water to the people in the trenches and also deliver the upgraded equipment to the troops that were already spawned and are in the trenches.

Defensive unit idea: Field gun -can be applied to trenches or the base -very effective against tanks (deals 50% more damage than a regular tank cannon) -need 200 golden stars to deploy to a trench/base and the animation is the crew pushing the field gun to the trench -decent against infantry

For a passive buff I'd recommend is some sort of passive speed, health, or gas resistance buff due to the fact that Germans used drugs extensively for strength and pain tolerance as early as late WW1. For a unique unit suggestion maybe shotgunners, flamethrowers, or Stormtroopers could be exclusive to the German faction. Finally, maybe a "Tea" item could be purchased for the British and would heal all troops instantly.

Can you make it so when there is an officer in the trench, he can command the units in that trench to either hunker down to survive artillery or get to the front of the trench to aim better than normally because they have better positions.

This is my first comment ever on KZitem and I think I have an idea for the unique features of the factions. The British should be artillery focused with their unique “unit” being either heavy hitting artillery or more intensive artillery (more shells than standard), and have it be called heavy artillery or heavy barrage The French should continue to be tank focused with the char 2C having more HP and being slightly faster than t other heavy tanks with a more powerful cannon, it should also be renamed to Super-Heavy tank to reflect that. The Germans should be defensive focused as you said, but they should also be able to have the trench MG be upgraded to a concrete bunker with the ability to actually take a few hits. I agree that the stormtrooper should be the unique unit. I think it should replace the shotgunner and have an MP-18, it should also have the ability to throw 2 or 3 grenades as they close to a trench just like real life TLDR; British: artillery French: tanks Germans: defense/ assault infantry

I am a little behind and am not sure what all is in the game, but I suggest para-troopers should be added. I am also not sure if that is realistic to WWI, but I think it is a great idea.

Stormtrooper tactics basically filled the same niche as tanks in the first world war. Get close, disrupt front line areas with explosives, then sweep the trenches with rapid fire, clear the way for following units. So some sort of SMG/infiltrator infantry with grenades would be appropriate as a replacement for tanks, not simply as a special unit. This might be a little harder to balance, but basically the Germans have a cheaper but more venerable alternate to armored vehicles. Rather than a stormtrooper special unit, maybe a fire team with a Mauser 13mm anti-tank rifle could be the special infantry. Most likely to receive tank attacks, but also equipped with a special counter.

I would prefer the passive buffs, since no spending needed and its by bunch the easiest to design for each faction, 1. Britain gets a passive where tanks cost -5% less(since they designed and got the first tanks on the battlefield), 2. French have a +5% movement speed buff(preferably retreat) , since they running away very quickly, 3. Germany gets like a +5% defense(miss rate) or like a 5% quicker machine gunner, now for maybe stuff you will add, 4. Russian empire-units cost -5% and only the "human units" cost -1 medal(if this is too op, you can buff other factions or nerf this one), 5. Austria-Hungary they gain a +5% miss rate in trenches, search up Isonzo front, that's it, 6. Italy gains a +5% movement speed buff (marching/attacking) since they sent their men ont he isonzo front(there were like 15 maybe even more battles, Italy lost every time, except the last one, I think), ofc these are jst suggestions yo ucan also nerf or buff, keep up the good work i cannot wait to actually be able to afford it

Maybe instead of making ANZACs a special unit for the UK, you could add desert maps as most of the training the ANZACs was done in Egypt, and then make it that when the UK is fighting in a desert map their textures change to be the ANZACs instead.

Maybe you guys should do like 'attack scenerios' ro something. It would give you an option to save your favourite units at once to defend/attack at all of their costs added together. Like you can summon the 2C, 10 rifleman, a flamethrower, a shotgun and a preset arty attack at once but for 1505 stars and 3 medals to make a coordinated attack
