Hi If you have to show argentine food, you shouldn't forget ice cream, which is outstanding in quality and variety of flavors; nothing to envy to italian gelatto... Wine is world class as well. And many regional food in this gigantic country, from seafood and big crabs in Patagonia to dishes with ancestral native recipes and cooking ways. Just for starting. Cheers

min 2:53 ¿People do Dulce de leche themselves at home? At home my grandmother use to do it with raw fresh milk directly from the cow. It took like 3 or 5 hours to become Dulce de leche and making sure the milk doesn't curdle. At the end all brothers and cousins fought for the "raspa", the most delicious leftovers stucked to the pot that it had to be scraped with a spoon. At the cities nobody does it anymore, for sure in the provinces and farms some grandama heroes continue with the tradition.

The main difference with other countries barbecues with Argentine asado is the time for the grilling. The asado is made much more slowly, which makes all the meat to get cooked while becoming crispy and not burnt on the outside. The summit of the Asado is the "asado con cuero" (asado with the leather) which is made putting a whole part of the meat with still the leather on it. Although the leather is towards de fire, the hair should not burn. This kind of asado needs several hours to complete and is very uncommon nowadays.

Welcome to Argentina. Some notes: * what you call simply cheese is, actually, provolone cheese grilled (aka provoleta) *If you go to Patagonia don't miss Patagonian Lamb. Lot of recipes, all excelent. And of course, salmon or trout. *On sea cities like Mar del Plata or Puerto Madryn, try some very fresh fish, calamari and shrimps. *On river cities like the ones on Entre Rios or Corrientes, ask for dorado or pacú (not for diet, but very delicious). *On the West North provinces is whort to try humita, locro al pan, and tamales. You will go back home with some extra weight, but full of happiness! Enjoy!

Meat, cheese and pastry is a weak description of an ancestral cuisine that ranges from Spider crab un Ushuaia to red Andes potatoes in the northern provinces. It's very simplistic to describe us with 3 items that probably represent only the most common fast food of the Buenos Aires periphery

Did he say the meat was “bad” if it was red?? If he did, then wth that’s an utter lie. It’s definitely a personal preference, but if you go to eat at any good place the meat will most likely be on the reddish side. A lot of us would consider the meat of the video on the dryer side
