So thankful to hear your suggestions at the end because I’ve been doing them and feeling bad that I have to sit in the shower, sit to do my hair and use a chair when I cook! It’s a lot and knowing I’m not alone is very helpful!🥰🥰

Thanks for this. Always interesting to hear others' experiences. I'm 3 years in and slowly trending worse, I believe at least in part due to continual de-conditioning forced by PEM. It's so hard to pace to the degree necessary because of life, even though I'm very lucky to have great support. I haven't tried your suggestion here yet regarding limbering/exercising in bed, but I will now! Looking forward to checking more of your content - thanks!

I also use herbal enemas and essential oil suppositories for pain relief, fatigue, stress, relaxation and joint stiffness just to name a few.

At the moment, I struggle to rest without falling asleep.

what we say during Yoga Nidra guided meditation is that we intend not to sleep, but if we fall asleep our body must need it. So hopefully the rest/sleep is helping

How much exercise do you think you should do a day?

There is no "should". It depends on your goals (cardiovascular health? Strength?) and your physical ability. It's going to be so different depending on where your symptoms levels are at. I personally do well with maintaining around 8000 steps a day, a 2-3 times a week I will go for a gentle 30 minute walk and those days I get to 10k. BUT I love walking, its my quiet time, I've worked a long time to build it up. I also do very gentle yoga. Does that help at all?

@@MelissavsFibromyalgia Dear Melissa, Yes, I know I pinch you because you have the same approach that I did and in a way still have it. I have it all figured out what can I do and what are the consequences of those actions, these probably safe me from depression, but I just want to tell you that for me was a wining point when I relax my parasympathetic nervous system what a day 21.2.2023 I was ill from 9.5.2019 20% CFS/ME scale. Today 90%-100% I think is all about to get as deeply as you can. I get there and its more relaxed state that I ever had it, even vacation time when I was healthy can’t compare it. And now I am doing everything I can from this state for example in my local fitness I go to Finland and Turkish sauna and then to deckchair for 20-30 mi. for meditation to get me to the bless state of total parasympathetic state and from there directly to a guided yoga session, and it is easier than before my illness (cfs/me is not really an illness it’s just a state of body-mind situation). I just have to tell you that because your approach is so similar to mine, your determination and personal professionalism of knowing what you know. Hope you reach your win soon. With love, Mike
