Ahh! I graduate with my masters in social work in April. I am placed at a clinical therapy office now, but they contract with a local school that I provide services at….I love it! I just wish it was more permanent so that I could leave my resources at the school. Lugging stuff around is no fun and I limit what I buy or take because I have to carry it all 😔

I am starting my field placement in January! I am doing it at an elementary school, middle school, and high school! I am super nervous (which I understand is normal, and that’s okay)... I have watched your videos, especially about internships. I wanted to say thank you for providing us a glimpse of what school social workers do! I am hoping I do well! Happy holidays!

Great video. I’m a social worker in CenTex and recently added children & adolescents to my career path as I’ve only worked with adults. I’m excited and I found this video to be insightful so thank you! ❤️

It is so interesting to see what a SSW's day looks like in a different district! I am one of over 100 school social workers in my district and only service two schools, and even that feels like a lot to me!

I LOVE your feelings intervention activity! I am currently an intern at a K-8 school and recently started a 5th grade SEL group and an 8th grade SEL group. I’m always so stuck when running my sessions because they are not really as engaged (especially the 8th graders). I wonder what I can do to get them to engage even more in group.

Thank you so much for doing this! I am a senior studying social work at Texas State and I am interested in going into school social work! I'm also hoping to do my internship in San Antonio so I'm really glad that I found your page. All of this has been really insightful and makes me that much more excited to continue going down this path!

Hi thanks for your videos they are fun to watch and very interesting and educational. I'm starting my Bachelor's Degree in Social work next March 2022 (4 years). I'm from New Zealand and I have been a Police Officer on the Family Harm Intervention team for 10 years. I'm looking forward to the degree and learning lots of new ideas and ways to help the youth of today. I would like one day to work as a High School Social Worker. Anyway keep up your amazing work in the USA the students are very lucky to have you. Have a good New Year. Karl (Boldy)

I’m an introvert myself - but I love connecting with students & families ✨ my bachelors is in psychology too and I loved my graduate school experience because I learned so much and practiced each skill as an intern. I have a video about how to tell if social work is for you kzitem.info/news/bejne/xoOmuoJtpIqhg6A

How much do you charge for supervision? I am also a U.T.-Austin alum, and wondering about the fee range in case I decide to go the LCSW route. Thanks.
