Sharla, very nice presentation and explanantion skills. My kids know how to make this, but still wanted to try yours. 2 pts for others 1) make batter ahead and put in fridge (great for busy families). Prep cabbage and whatever else you want. Mix cabbage in when ready to cook. Also makes pancake firm so less likely to run away. Add'l note: We use a portable griddle on the table and dinner time has a lot of conversation. As we make and wait. 2) Some Asian stores in Denver area sell Okonomiyaki flour in case sone people want a simplier way to prep. Thanks again!

OKONOMIYAKI 🤗When I miss Japan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Japanese cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking. Sharmeleon another thing I do - while not vegan but I’m sure there are substitutes- is to add thin strips of pork (bacon could work too) to the top of the okonomiyaki, then flip it over and let it cook. might take a few more mins to fully cook the meat through but it certainly adds some new flavor and texture to make things interesting
