#rainbowfluorite #rocktumbling #polishingrocks
This video would of been very long if I had showed from start to finish of my struggles with the rainbow fluorite. I did use the regular rock tumbling method in steps two, three and polish with bad results. So then I went onto the dry polishing. Dry polishing is a method of tumbling rocks in a rock tumbler but instead of using water and rock polish , you use crushed corn cob and rock polish in the tumbling barrel. Crushed corn cob up to one inch from the top of the barrel and two tablespoons of rock polish. I went over one week and was not happy with the shine. So I go onto using zam and a rotary tool. I finally get a better shine but the fractures are endless in Rainbow Fluorite. So much so that the finished results are not pleasing. After all this I can say that this was a test and a test I will never attempt again, lol Way to much effort and work went into trying to polish rainbow fluorite. I hope you enjoy the video even though the end results are not pleasing but honest. Thanks for watching :)
