The episode:
• Jack Antonoff Unpacks ...
After watching this recent interview with Jack Antonoff, I wanted to share the biggest lesson I learned: It's so important to mix our songs in a way that gives each element enough room to shine. A mix can only combine so many different elements, and our brains can only handle so many different pieces of info at once. Therefore, we need to mix in a way that makes our music sound cohesive but also dynamic. It's a tricky subject! Suffice it to say… your music is more likely to need better arrangements and better volume perspecetive rather than advanced tools like mid-side EQ or multiband compression. Any thoughts?
