Ariel you are a sensitive, honest, intelligent person. Here in Crete you have friends that remember you with nostalgia (🤩Greek word) and love. It has been very nice experience to spent this month with you. Many greetings and wish you all the best 🥰.

Hello George! You were wonderful in the video! I'm wondering if you can tell me when the abandoned church was build and/or abandoned. It's so beautiful. I'd love to know the name of it so I can learn more about it as well. thank you so much for showing us around the beautiful Crete!

@@AngelissimaASMR My dear, I don't really know. I was wondering why the place where my field is was called Aitria (Holy Trinity), i also saw this name at a contract of 1905, instead of Saint Spirit that is the near church builded at 19th century. An old man from the village, a week ago, told me that near the ancient tree here was a church dedicated at Holly Trinity. The rovines still exist, in the middle there is an olive tree (age about 80 years) and recently i put some stones in order to make a wall around this olive tree. But it's not so rare, in every step here you meet signs of the passed generations. Ceramics, ols walls, the ancient trees, the myths and histories of people...I will try to send you a photo of the rovines, i hope to be able to do it because i'm not so good with.. new 😄tecnology.

My husband and I spent some glorious time in a village in Crete this past summer and like you I found myself in tears several times! The beauty, the people, the simplicity of their happiness, the food, the churches… it’s just overwhelmingly moving. We plan to go back and spend a full three months in 2024. Maybe we will meet you next fall at harvest time❣️

As a teenager I spent a summer in a small village in Italy doing archaeology. I felt the way you do upon leaving...like I had the most transformative experience and had experienced a completely different and welcome way of life. I'm in my late 30s now and I still think about it all the time. I truly think humans are meant to live that way: slow, deliberate and full of passion. Great video!

Ariel, I have SO enjoyed this series. It's funny, but at the beginning of the video I also felt like crying. So peaceful, so rich in culture and human kindness. We should all take the example of George and his family and friends in how we live. Connected to the land and each other instead of connecting to things.

Oh my gosh, I have absolutely LOVED this series. I want to go stay in this community and soak up their beautiful way of life. That grilling impromptu picnic is my dream come true. If there is a way for his website to incorporate links to AirBNB's or tour guides, etc. that would be amazing. To sit in those kitchens, drink wine and laugh with them would be incredible. To you Ariel, you are a wonderful documentarian and not only show the lives of these people beautifully but you are adept at conveying the emotions of these people and how compelling it is to be with them. Thank you so much!!!

The simple things in life always gives one the opportunity to find that illusive peace. Just remember, a lot of the time, experiences like these should not lead you to impulsive decisions, but rather help you realize that passion and purpose are discovered through several experiences; life is a journey, and it is up to you to discover the lovely surprises, the kind people and the ultimate purpose.... Just live passionately!
