Tonya, so good to hear you again! Would you consider doing a video on how you go about donating your flowers. I would like to do something similar and am not sure how to go about it-finding places to donate to, how frequently, do you give bunches or do you put them in vases, etc. Thanks much!

Have you thought of including some perennial native flowers? I see people using Echinacea and Rudbeckia for arrangements a lot, though I don't know if they have as long of a vase life as the other things you're growing. But perennials are great because they require so little maintainance

I love perennials! I'm still cleaning the new garden space and need to build a fence near where I want to establish the perennial beds. Hopefully, that will happen in the next couple seasons. It has definitely been a lot of work trying to turn this field into a new garden. Thanks for watching! 🌱🌱🌱

WOw, that's some hard dirt. Have you thought about introducing some manure or fertilized soil? Spreading things out? Not sure how bulbs that close can get enough nutrients in such a small place BUT! I plant my veggies ver close but I have crazy good soil from the bottom of the ocean. I applaud your efforts! Every year we learn a bit more. What are Ranunculus? I'm going to follow your channel !

This is a brand new growing space. There's definitely a lot of work to be done. Most everything I grow are cut flowers, many of which are donated to hospitals and non-profits. Welcome to the channel! 🌱🌱🌱

@@TONYAwiththeflowers That's so sweet Tonya. People ask me, "Why do you grow so much food?" I give a lot away when they are fresh, cook a lot and then can the rest in the fall. Growing food , or flowers is such a wonderful investment! 🥰

Hi Tonya, you are sooo progressive! Where did you get your TULIPS???

I source most of my tulips from the 'Wholesale for Small Growers' facebook group. 🌱🌱🌱

@@TONYAwiththeflowersI’ve joined that site but haven’t ordered yet. Found that some of my regular sources are around the same price, even without wholesale. Van Engelen, the bulk arm of John Scheepers, is phenomenal). But I digress - those tulip bulbs from Jake are HUGE!! Win win!!

Hey, I’m maybe just nosy, but I’ve been trying to figure out what you doing out there and why. It’s not the most common thing for someone cool like you to be in the middle of what looks pretty rural with a fixer-upper extraordinaire. If you’re interested in telling, I’m sure there’s people who are interested in listening! PS - I cannot WAIT to see all your bulbs come up! Dutch Iris are so beautiful. I’ve gotten just a couple of varieties so far (zone 5b, so we’ll see what comes back from last year.)
