Do you consider it extreme to desire optimal health? Fish, chicken, and other animal products wreak havoc on the human body and lead to a host of diseases. So, for those of us pursuing health, it hardly feels or seems extreme to us, to avoid dead flesh and animal excrement. It's just the opposite, it's easy to eat fruits and veggies, and seems extreme to eat dead animals. Thanks for watching and commenting Bidon45!

Good stuff.. I have no doubt that most if not everything your saying is accurate and that this kind of diet would no doubt give the best results as far as energy and vitality goes, but as you know we have all been conditioned from birth to eat this way and so changing not only our eating habits but the very way we think about foods is not a simple task so maybe your next video could be on that subject..

Joseph, thanks for the comment and the request. Are you asking for methods to change the way we think about food, our associations with certain foods?
@jwwilliams
10 жыл бұрын
FoodnSport Well I really honestly think it's a matter of discipline in the end which with out changing eating habits would be impossible considering the intense addictive traits of our modern day diet. I know developing discipline in this area is a process that includes methods that do make eating right easier but it would still be extremely difficult. Everything in our society is geared to making eating wrong easy and eating right nearly impossible. If I sound skeptical it's because I've tried to eat right and failed so many times, though I am curious as to your methods. I see a problem with many people who have succeeded in changing the way they eat seem to forget how difficult it was after so many years.

Joseph Williams For a long time, I felt the same way you do. But, I started watching videos by a variety of 811'ers, especially Tannyraw (she's new to KZitem). She is dynamite and her videos are really changing my attitudes. I am now successfully 811 100% of the time. I really didn't think I could do it and feel satisfied, because I'm such a hardcore foodie and I love salty, savory food. But, I now know that 811 is much more accessible than I thought and it's the most direct way to extreme happiness, energy, and health. If you haven't read Doug Graham's book, please get it ASAP and just start and be compassionate with yourself. It is a process. You don't have to go 811 overnight. Honestly, Tannyraw's videos will really inspire you and give you a practical roadmap to doing this lifestyle. Good luck and carb the fruit up, my friend!

What's 811? I was thinking you meant the 80-10-10 diet but then you said carb the fruit up at the end so I think I'm missing something.. Are you saying that from your findings the raw fruit and vegetable diet is easier to follow through with then the grain diet? I'll check out Tannyraw's videos.
@sophiegirl58
10 жыл бұрын
811 is a shortcut way to say 80/10/10. You get most of your calories from fruit on this plan. It is very important to eat enough fruit to stay satisfied and to have enough energy. That's why I said carb the fruit up! It is really the key to avoid cravings. Usually, your breakfast, lunch, and snacks are mostly fruit, or fruit and greens and your evening meal is an enormous salad, maybe with a raw soup or dip with veggies or spiralized zucchini noodles with a raw sauce. That said, you can do a type of 80/10/10 ratio with cooked potatoes and grains, Dr. McDougall-style. I tried and I can't. I have sleep apnea (I'm on a CPAP machine) and grains make it amazingly worse. So, I try not eat anything that makes me stop breathing while asleep! My husband is more comfortable on fruit, cooked veggies, potatoes, and grains, a la McDougall and it works great for him. Sorry for the confusion!

Breast milk diet is approximately 43:50:7. You cannot use this fact to support both low protein and high carb. Yes, low protein is good but the remaining calories should be split equally between fat and carbs The key part is choosing the correct sources of fat and carbs. If you want to live the vegan life style, certain raw fruits and veggies are a good source of primarily carbs, Coconut is a good source of fat, carbs, and protein. Use both to have a properly balanced diet.

"fruits, which are mostly water, have a low glycemic load even though they rate high on the index. For example, bananas rate 52 on the glycemic index (where glucose = 100). But because water accounts for 75% of the weight of a banana, its glycemic load is only 12 (52 x 24 grams of carbs, divided by 100 = 12; based on a 118 g medium-sized banana). All fruits fall into the low or medium categories on glycemic load/glycemic index charts.

About affordability, at least here in the US, they throw out lots of organic fresh produce on a daily basis. Not sure if it's possible in England but you can try to make friends in the produce section, probably the produce manager and see what fruits and veggies you can get. You can make warm soups in the winter as long as the temperature doesn't go about 105-112F. For some recipes you can blend all the fruits or veggies and add in 100F warm water and drink that OR you can buy an expensive

I'm trying to understand your query. Is your question, "Where do you get your fat from"? If so, there have not been any reported issues relating to low fat levels, even on a diet of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. A 'low' fat diet has been shown to benefit the reversal of heart disease and diabetes, simultaneously allowing an increased absorption of oxygen throughout the body.

Also, people don:t put 2 and 2 together. Beans and legumes are the cheapest foods ever. Soak them and they are yeilding 4X the amount of dried. It is cheaper than getting sick, but it's an immediate difference I'm citing, not cumulative. One candy par does not equal a pound of fruit. In New York City bananas sell for $1-2/lb, apples $2-4/lb. The prices are not dissimilar in Detroit, or Minneapolis, two other major American cities I frequent.

it kind of is extreme, everyone keeps acting like we are all one people and should eat the same optimal things, but truth is - we are not one people, we are many different kinds of people, from the inuits in the north, to tribes in africa, and those who developed in tropical regions, their diets and subsequently their genetics developed different to run optimally on different foods. Celtics for example function well on high-fat diets, plant foods were scarse due to the soil... It varies.

Lots of follks like the taste of vegetarian food, try a good restaurant, it's not like you are thinking, like overcooked brocolli or something, it's fresh flavorful food but at first your taste buds literally wont' taste it as good. But body adjusts and starts to love it. And more energy, clearer thinking, better health, tons of good stuff. Be well.

Whatever the answer is, it's never to eat animal flesh or animals breast milk. Eat more fruit, you need more when the weather is cold, at least 500 calories more than usual. If you can't afford that much fruit, eat as much rice and/or potatoes as you want (plain though). But yes, moving to a warmer climate would be optimal.

Could someone please tell me the Artist and song title at the end of the video? I did a lyrics search and browsed youtube for quite a bit but have come up short. It would even be nice if the original poster could put it in the description. Thanks in advance for any help.

Affording raw fresh organic fruits isn't the problem... The problem is that there aren't enough vendors for these types of foods all over... You need to relocate to a more appropriate region with great quality organic fruits and veggies... Thats what our ancestors did in history... They migrated when need be during winter etc..

Are you still looking for help? I became vegan about 6 months ago, and because I did months of preemptive research the transition was easy for me. Believe it or not, but I've never even bought tofu! Since I switched, I've hosted many dinner parties and nobody has ever noticed that they're not eating animal products. The key is proper substitutions and healthy choices. I'm not a raw vegan, but I figure that's easier since you don't cook anything; just juice, dehydrate; and/or eat raw.
