I never would call Death Magnetic a "good" album overall. It was an album with some great riffs in certain songs. Like after St.Anger they said "Fuck it lets noodle in the studio then put out a record". And while it wasn't a massive shitpile of Trolling the fans like "LULU", there are very few tracks I can stand to listen. And I liked Frantic.....kinda.
@elliotjamieson1850

@@TacticalBurritoSystem Metallica are the ultimate example of production mattering, Kill em’ all, Rtl, MoP and the black album all have pretty great production (AJFA is an exception I suppose, that albums production sucks balls but it’s still a good album) I’d say that most people’s favourite albums are one of the ones mentioned.
@TacticalBurritoSystem
3 жыл бұрын
@@elliotjamieson1850 I agree with that. St.Anger is such a divisive album and even when people have done re-recording projects, the "improvements" are still tainted because there are very few gems and mostly turds to polish (IMO of course).

The tone was a bit close but not quite there yet. The drums were spot on; fat, to the edge of clipping. The writing was using all the techniques and phrasing that Death Magnetic riffs have. The solo is raw with wah, just like the style that Kirk has gone with on death magnetic. The little ambience/fill thingy that you inserted in the break down and in the intro are also very fitting the style of death magnetic. Overall you did a very good job, the guitar tone is the only thing that isn't quite there yet. :))
