What If Mace Windu LIVED and Started the Rebellion? Let's explore the depths of it in this video.
Anakin: I need him! Nooo!
Before Mace can finish Palaptine off, he feels a searing pain rush across his arm, and then…nothing. He sees his lightsaber falling out the window, his right hand following it.
He barely stops himself from dropping to his knees. But his concentration is shattered, allowing Palpatine to recover. The chancellor's grimace turns into a smile.
Palpatine: POWER!
Mace's entire body recoils, spasming uncontrollably as if every fiber of his being is engulfed in searing pain. This time, he can't stop himself from falling to his knees as Palpatine sends another surge of electricity coursing through him.
Palpatine: UNLIMITED POWER
But while this shock runs through him, Mace feels his body flung from the window. He soars through the sky, the lightning of Palpatine's attack still running across him until he lands on a nearby balcony and feels the world go dark.
Hours later, Mace wakes up feeling sore and with his head pounding. But he cannot allow himself to rest. The Jedi Council must be informed of Palpatine's-
He pauses mid-step as fire fills his eyes. Even miles away, the blaze is burning bright as the Jedi Temple is engulfed in fire. Mace can hardly believe his eyes as he watches the inferno. For the second time, he nearly collapses on the ground, but he wills himself to stand.
Mace immediately knows this is the chancellor's doing. Palpatine made his move while he was out and now Mace is helpless to stop him. His only chance is to escape off-world and continue the fight elsewhere. Rather than head to the temple, he goes in the opposite direction towards the lower districts.
There he finds a smuggler willing to take him off the world. After the battle, countless people were leaving Coruscant so he managed to leave unseen. With the chancellor in control of the Republic, Mace has few places to go without being seen as a fugitive. He decides to hide on Ryloth as the people there are friendly with him and it's distant enough for him to escape notice.
Or so he thinks.
When Mace arrives in the capital, he is shocked to see a large Republic occupation force. The clone forces were supposed to have departed when Ryloth was liberated, but the small garrison was steadily reinforced until it was comparable to an invasion force.
Mace journeys to the old hideout of the Twi'lek freedom fighters to see if there's anyone there. A dozen blasters are pointed at him, but a voice orders them to stand down as he approaches
Gobi Glie, one of the resistance leaders appears from the gate.
Gobi: What is your business here, Jedi?
Mace: I come in peace.
Gobi: If you are here on behalf of the clones, then we do not want that peace.
Mace: I'm here by myself.
Reluctantly, Gobi allows Mace to enter where the two talk over a meal. Mace explains the developments in the capital while Gobi explains how a large force of clones arrived on behalf of the new galactic empire. He also says that Cham is now forced to work with the Empire to ensure peace.
Mace asks if he can hide with them. Gobi agrees, even offering to repair his arm. For several weeks, Mace gets used to his robotic replacement and regains his strength while Gobi journeys to the capital to gather information.
But one day while he's meditating, Mace feels a disturbance in the Force. It's a shatterpoint, calling him towards the main imperial base. Mace journeys to Leesu where he sees the imperial occupation firsthand. He sees the same Twi'leks he freed years ago now being forced to hand over their weapons and submit to the Empire. Those who refuse are rounded up and arrested.
Mace manages to infiltrate the imperial facility and heads down to the detention halls where he runs into Hunter and Echo. Mace ignites his lightsaber while the clones raise their blasters.
Mace: Sergeant, are you here to arrest me too?
Hunter: Are you here to do the same with us?
Mace: No.
Hunter: Then we're on the same side.
Mace glances over to Gobi and Cham, giving them a nod. As they reach the main hangar, they're stopped by the facility's commanding officer, Captain Howzer who warns them of the trap outside. While the others prepare to leave, Mace notices Howzer hanging back as he tries to reason with the clones beyond.
Mace ignites his lightsaber and prepares to provide backup if necessary. Though Howzer's speech is moving, only a handful of clones join him. The rest stand their ground and move to arrest them, led by a trio of Elite special force troopers.
