If you caught it, at some point he claims that people in scriptural times had no idea what war or famine were. Apparently the world was all pink bunnies and cotton candy back then.

I'm sure there are a lot of recurring themes since each successive author would have read previouse scriptures and because scriptures that were considered heretical were excluded when the Old and New Testaments were compiled and of course because all the authors were either Jewish or Christian and in some cases even knew each other.

A better question would be "What if God's Word, the Bible, is right?"

The worldwide scientific research community from over the past 140 years has discovered that no known hypothesis other than universal common descent can account scientifically for the unity, diversity, and patterns of terrestrial life. This hypothesis has been verified and corroborated so extensively that it is currently accepted as fact by the overwhelming majority of professional researchers in the biological and geological sciences (AAAS 1990; NAS 2003; NCSE 2003; Working Group 2001).

evolution is a theory not a law, but here goes: Theodosius Dobzhansky "Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution", American Biology Teacher vol. 35 (March 1973) reprinted in Evolution versus Creationism, J. Peter Zetterberg ed., ORYX Press, Phoenix AZ 1983 - Helena Curtis and N. Sue Barnes, Biology 5th ed. 1989 - Douglas J. Futuyma, Evolutionary Biology, 2nd ed., 1986 - H. J. Muller, "One Hundred Years Without Darwin Are Enough" School Science and Mathematics(1959)

Saying that it flows is highly subjective and only someone who is well versed in Ancient Hebrew examining the original manuscripts could ever make such an evaluation. However if by flow you mean it does not contradict itself I would argue that its rather schizophrenic portrayals of God's personality say otherwise. Most, if not all, of its prophecies are too vague or they predict things that are either inevitable or easily guessed at and cannot be held up as proof. The Tyre prophecy was wrong.

who could have imagined there will be famine 2000 years ago? or wars? Answer: anyone and their mother. There has to be something blocking this mans ability to think.

We know the Bible is God's Word-it was written over 1500 yrs by 44 writers in different times & cultures, thru 66 books yet it flows as if one person had written it..It told us what would happen BEFORE it happened & tells us what is yet to happen..its' prophecy is 100% accurate, it was written by God-who lives outside of time-but you can discover this for yourself by asking God's Spirit to guide you..no one can argue a person into loving God..no mere human can touch your heart the way God can.

The only legitimate question is why should anyone believe the Bible or any holy book, what evidence is there that any one of them is the word of any deity? "What if you are wrong or right?" is just a stupid question that does nothing but distract from rational inquiry, especially when the one asking the question knows what the answer is already and knows full well that the other also knows. Also, its a terrible question because its nothing but an apeal to consequence. It's just dishonest.

The point is that the question is irrelavant especially when it comes to religion because none of them can back up thier. There have always been wars and famines and pestilences. If you think otherwise then you know nothing of history in fact must have never actually read the Bible because even it contains tales of wars and pestilences and natural disasters.

"I know someone who can't be wrong - and that is the god of the bible" God wrote the bible therefore it can't be wrong, why is the bible not wrong? Because it was written by god. Circular reasoning 101.

Today, nearly all biologists acknowledge that evolution is a fact. The term theory is no longer appropriate except when referring to the various models that attempt to explain how life evolves... it is important to understand that the current questions about how life evolves in no way implies any disagreement over the fact of evolution. - Neil A. Campbell, Biology 2nd ed., 1990, Benjamin/Cummings, p. 434

nice try, please prove that the bible is god's word as you have stated. several thousand scientist and studies have been done that validates evolution. not one successfully proves the validity of the bible. quite the opposite
