This is a great video! Really impressed with this. Can't believe how long people go without replacing these, including me! Oak is so good on camera! Would love to see these videos done for specific brands of racquets! Cheers! M

Great video. I bet this guy won his district tournament with a really sick doubles partner in high school

It might seem obvious but you should mention that just a little bit of heat goes a long way. Even a slight bit too much can easily have you starting again with another new set of grommets! Good job presenting Oak!! Look forward to more tech presentations from you and TW.

Can’t wait to see the new blade v9 grommet tech which lets you switch out grommets really easily. Hoping to see other brands follow

Are you Oak? The racquet specialist from SLO? You use the Whiteout XTD 18X20?

This is why I baby my racquets and try to not let them scrape against the ground if possible. I’m amazed how long people go before replacing the grommet, it just looks so ugly when it’s all scratched up and especially when it’s worn all the way through.

Because the manufacturers prohibit the shipping of specific grommet set's to overseas, interesting that the big retailers including tw are bound to that ....................................

I ordered 4 spare sets for my Prestiges from TW Europe a couple of years ago. What I'm wondering is why I have to order these from TW Europe and not TW in the US.

Doesn’t make sense. They should have them available in the US for popular racquets sold in the last 5 years

@@felipegomezdelcampo4575 I just checked and they do carry the grommets that TWE carries. This must have happened in the past 6 or 7 years. I have YT and IG Prestige MP and they carry the grommets for them. This is pretty nice for people with old frames that need a tuneup.

@TW. Do you have a policy to keep head guards and grommets available for racquets that you have sold? Please press on the manufacturer to keep you well stocked. Can you please check grommet kit availability for the Yonex VCore 95 6th gen

Why do most clubs not replace the grommets for you and only string? I bought my own but no one will replace them.

I think it is a matter of finding a certified Master Racquet Technician, or someone who has had a lot of experience with replacing the bumper/grommets. Some clubs may have a stringer that is capable with the stringing process, however may not be experienced with replacing the grommets and bumper on a racquet. Some racquets are definitely easier than others when changing the grommets, so it definitely can take some time and practice, especially with certain racquets like some of the Babolat racquets can be difficult to work with. We can replace the grommets for you, and you may be able to find a retail store that can do it for you; we typically will do it complimentary when re-stringing your racquet however some shops may charge a labor fee. Thanks for the great video! In addition to actually having them in stock, would love to watch a video to remove/ install CAP grommets for Head racquets, especially the Pro Tour 630. Thanks
