I've been a EMT for 18 years I've used them a fair amount of times they work well for seizure patients and some opioid overdose victims increase ventilation capacity

Hahaha 😆 phew it doesn't look nice to try.😳 Usually some gel is included so it slides more easily into the nose. It was a nice and informative video as usual. Thank you.😊👍I would definitely NOT recommend using nasal airways on an conscious patient. I have tried to use it once because the nasal airway was new. But I must say that I found the tongue holder to be easier and better to work with out in the field ( Unconcios ). Nasal airway is only good if there is no relapse of the tongue due to, for example, manuel ventilation....In my opinion. Unless you have the opportunity to intubate of course, depending on which patient you are dealing with, etc
