What are these networks? And what are these devices? Switch vs router vs firewall vs IPS and many more. The time has arrived for me to publish a free updated CCNA course on KZitem. This is a brand new CCNA course where I focus on using real hardware and practical demonstrations. Expect regular updates - the full course will be uploaded on my new CCNA playlist: kzitem.info/door/PLw6kwOJVj3MbMZ8B72ZgUryj8OSETC0ds // David's SOCIAL // Discord: discord.com/invite/usKSyzb Twitter: twitter.com/davidbombal Instagram: instagram.com/davidbombal LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/davidbombal Facebook: facebook.com/davidbombal.co TikTok: tiktok.com/@davidbombal KZitem: kzitem.info // MY STUFF // www.amazon.com/shop/davidbombal // SPONSORS // Interested in sponsoring my videos? Akin to a capacitor that disallows direct current (DC) to pass through from one electrical network to another is router and traffic (IP packets) from one domain to another… 😊 very interesting concept explained better here by David. Thanks 🙏 a lot!!

I've always thought of the switch and router like a post office. If you send a letter to someone in the same zip code (subnet), the post office just has to drop it in that person's box or send it in a truck to their house. If you send it to someone in a different zip code, the post office has to send it to the other post office or to a distribution center and let them handle the rest.

Only 60k subscribers... It's a shame to see that high quality channels like this one have so little subscribers... Keep up the good work, great explanations and i think easy to understand for someone with no knowledge of networking at all.

Been doing networking since 2015 and this is actually my first time seeing actual 10base5,2 cables. Seein it physically now makes me wonder howmuch such topologies influenced office setups, how they're always all clustered up, side to side like on the movies you know.
@chitlitlah

I went to college for IT around the turn of the millennium and my college still had at least one computer lab that used thinnet (10base2). The bus cables would run a brief distance from computer to computer along the front row, and then there was a long cable that ran back to the wall and back to the first computer on the second row, and so on. Classrooms and labs are already set up in a way that makes it easy, but I imagine like you said they'd have to put more thought into it for an office and perhaps rearrange the office to make it easier.
