Thinking of getting managed vps instead of shared hosting as i have now. Have some sites for clients with some being for businesses with have loads of traffic.

VPS can certainly help with high traffic sites

Thanks for your short informative videos. I currently have three physical servers running Xenserver providing around a dozen Windows servers inc Sql, web etc. I like the idea of VPS (think Amazon EC2 is a VPS) but how does something like Vultr handle having several servers in a ‘local network’ so I can run say a web server talking to a sql server. Can you setup virtual 192.168.x networks? Thanks

Yes you can do this. Part of your Vultr dashboard for example will be a networking tab where you can configure your private network.

@@TonyTeachesTech ah ok makes sense. New to all this and just found your channel, really appreciate the concise bite sized videos. Now working my way through difference between VPS and Managed VPS but saw you had a video on that too. Think for me the full VPS is the way to go though.

A VPS with Plesk or cyberpanel is not so difficult to manage. I'm trying this out for a couple of months and the benefit is that you can have a way better vps with the same money. Managed VPS have a steep price.

Certainly cheaper to DIY than go the managed route (as long as you know what you're doing)

But how do you access that computer? I mean, if I'm running software in that VPS, how does it "casts" all those processes to my PC at home? Could someone explain, please?

You would ssh to the command line, normally. Thats usually what you do if it's a Linux system.

Nice video, but windows BS sound was too much, seriously, you should give trigger warning in beginning of video :( My heart jumped!
