Great demos of both options of panels. I think I'd chose the CIGS panel due to its partial shading performance but both look decent. Only long term testing will determine their durability 👍

The cigs are definitely performing well. If you have a build that will be shaded on and off then a cigs panel would be a better choice over these but the arch panel so far is testing well. 👍🏼😀

I went with 4 - 200 watt panels and was getting over 800 watts in to the Bluetti AC200MAX. You did a great review video.

It’s good to know that as it says in the BougeRV description we can “No worry about the crack”. I’ve spent many a sleepless night worrying about it.

I recently installed 400 watts of Cigs on my rv. Because my roof is domed, I figured the solar production would not be all that great but it has blown me away, especially in over-cast conditions. I could not be happier.

It's amazing those Cigs. I hope these are rugged enough too. The coating looks "softish" might scratch or leave impact dents?

So this might be a dumb question but...can it be used on home roofs and how many would one need to buy to keep the lights or appliances on? Also can recycled plastic be used for the creation of these flexible panels?

25 year performance warranty on that CIGS panel is spectacular - same or better longevity than a glass panel!!!

what is the expected lifespan of the products? Do they produce enough electricity to pay for themselves? Is there an e-waste issue?

Can you please make a short video showing if the CIGS panel can be slightly bent width wise, like a fold in the middle around a curved surface. I know it will 'roll up' length wise but how well does it flex width wise. Like say on a 45 degree angle
@johnnysweekends
10 ай бұрын
Not folded but it can be bent a little but not much. And any time a panel is flexed it’s going to produce way less than if it’s flat. 45degrees I think is to much more like a rounded 20 degrees for that direction

your videos are starting to look like advertisements NOT reviews , I get that you get paid to advertise their products but you should clearly state that in your videos. Also … what you are advertising in this video is a SCAM 1. the flex panels are double the price compared with identical from other companies 2 CIGS or thin-film panels have an efficiency of only half of standard panel, 13% ,but double the price. There is a reason why were not adopted by the industry DONT SELL YOUR SOUL for money , my old friend

Dan it is true that they sent this for free to test which is stated in the video as paid promotion. Although many items don’t even make it on my channel. As the quality is very poor or the item didn’t test as advertised and was sent back or just didn’t make it. If you research cigs solar film the out put is actually very high, if you look at the latest tech and not from say 7 years ago when it first came out and performance was in the teens. Now they are reaching averages in the low 20s to 23% being a highest output under ideal conditions. Yes agree they are expensive but they will come down in price eventually and a rigid panel will still be cheaper and last longer but mainly they are cheap because there are hundreds if not thousands to choose from now. Supply and demand. Imagine if there was 20 brands to choose from on cigs type panels. Price would be lower. This is just another option for people who may need something for there project. I think they are great for the recreational market. If you can afford the price and need something thin light and stealth then this would be it. I would never sell out as others have already tried to sway my full video. I try to give useful info so someone can make a correct decision for them. If something is truly junk I’ll let them know or it just doesn’t make it on the channel…🤷🏼♂️

@@johnnysweekends I don't know where you got the 23% efficiency for the thin -film panels but I certainly hope not from these dishonest companies trying to sell them at ridiculous overprice numbers. To say that the newer thin film panels have a 23% efficiency is to say the newer combustion engines have an efficiency of 95%. The technology itself is the limit in both cases.

I'm pretty sure BougeRV themselves say the CIGS is 18%. It's still 200w, though, that's why it's bigger. You pay for 200w and you get a panel that makes 200w. Where's the "scam"?
