Talking about Blades in the Dark by John Harper, available through Evil Hat Publishing. Play as industerial-fantasy scoundrels trying to make it on top!
This video is a blessing. I struggle to retain information from reading and I have a game later this evening

This is a really good idea for a series. It may be too late, but I'd suggest since this is the first video a lot of people new to Blades might see, it might be worth having a list of topics with time stamps in the description (for major bits like character sheet, etc.) so people know where to come back to in order to review a particular section. Just a thought.

Nice walkthrough dude, real calm and clear. I especially love the 'in game/fiction' examples you give (hitting with the bottle) that really helped me understand how to frame effect. I'm about to watch your class videos but if I could make any suggestions I would say for some one hoping to run this for my D&D group I'd love more examples of how things interact. Cheers, keep up the good work!

LonesomeBilly I do plan on more examples, and with each playbook video I have been explaining a new mechanic or two as well with some examples.

Thank you for the explanations. I've heard about Blades in the Dark listening to fear the boot, but never really understood it until now.

Where did you get the "Notables" and region maps? Did you make them yourselves? That is amazing! Would I be able to use them?

Spooky Dude they are from the sheets provided by blades with the playbooks and GM material. I just uploaded and organized them.i actually recently cleared my roll20 of a bunch of stuff, this campaign happened to be part of the cleared out bits.

I also love how often the Leviathan hunters doesn't kill the demon leviathan they just try to wound them, take the blood and then get the fuck out of there

I think it’ll be cool to run a campaign where you are the Leviathan hunters! :D

Could be done pretty easily. You could use either the normal playbooks or make some changes

Really helpful. I'm a noob to pen/paper RPGs and Roll20. How does one set up the interactive charts, roll systems etc. that you're using in this video?

Check out Taking20, Cody does an awesome job teaching you how to best use roll20. Plus his usually responds to comments if you need further explanation. I used his videos to make my roll20 game. kzitem.info/rock/ly0Thn_yZouwdJtg7Am62A

Where can I get all those Roll20 notes for all the factions? Those look SUPREMELY useful. They do not come with the stock BitD Roll20 game setup.

I had to create them. More or less it was just copy and pasting from the PDF so that it was all available to the players (and I) so they didn't have to dig through the books. It was pretty handy. The images were mostly from the handouts PDF, some others where things I found on Pinterest or ripped from the core.

How did you get the cool BitD dice rolling graphics in Roll20?

At the time I used the Script Editor, but I think it's built into the sheets now. When you create a new game if you set the sheet to Blades in the Dark it should work for you. If not let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

Hey do you ever plan to run another series? Would really love to try it out. I got an email if you wish to talk more. Would love to be an assassin for hire that also uses some supernatural powers.
