@mindvalleycoach

Great question, Komal! We believe you don't need a formal certification to become a coach, it all depends on where you are at and what kind of training you are looking for. We suggest watching this video first to decide if you want to be certified or not: kzitem.info/news/bejne/kol-22eXjn9qaYo If you are looking for certifications, it will mostly depend on what coaching methodology you resonate with and if you want to be certified by renowned centers such as ICF or IAC, or not. This free guidebook can help you further on this: go.evercoach.com/VbPdmHYg Last but not the least, if you resonate with the Evercoach methodology, you can also check out our first-ever Certification program, Certified Business Coach which covers all the basics of coaching to start your coaching business. You can learn more about it here: go.evercoach.com/TvO9Wvd4 We hope this helps! Thanks for asking ❤

I have an interesting question... To me of course haha! I want to improve as a coach, Context I like to getting better at things, usually how I do that is put time into training... So, I look at sports stars, footballers and boxers for examples, and for them they train most days, boxers punch the punch bag, they practice swings, shadow boxing. Footballers in and out of cones, shooting, passing, running... All improving by doing them things... What can I do to improve my coaching day to day? I have this list, -Reading Coaching Books -Reading or listen to psychologists videos or books (I’m a depression coach😄) -Practice exercises/drills (like shooting or heading) -Listen to Evercoach, TR, world-class coaches and practice and model they're work Any other idea’s, and also any validation on these would be great, I'm questioning if these are parallel to the athletes🥴

What a great system for learning, Gary! You're definitely on the right path! Learning and applying what you learn are definitely great ways to improve your coaching on a daily basis. We can also recommend reading whitepapers (you can find ours as www.evercoach.com/coaching-guides) and listening to podcasts. The more diverse sources of information is also better so you can pick and choose what resonates with you most and build your own unique methodology. We also suggest watching these 2 videos which can give you great ideas on habits you can try to learn faster and become a better coach: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xHikyaqiemeBZn4 and kzitem.info/news/bejne/wIds2mWYgaybYHo. This year , I had two coaches ,yes they said coach but I did not exactly know what coach does. One is from my leadership program who helps me as volunteer to listen my ideas for community works supports and listen my challenges from too and give some advice based on my ideas, I feel relax after meeting with her and felt somehow supportive. Another lady was hired from my job and became my coach to help me in my starting months in my new job. Most of my meeting with her made me sick,sometimes she made difficult questions and sometime broughts her ideas rather my prefer ideas , I am sure I am not geting great support and help. What I thoghts and believe as a coach is listen and make clients to carry out their goals effectively and feel empowered (My assumptions would be myth ) and both parties learn each other and the main key between partnership is trust then I took a break from coaching.I am willing to learn for coaching including their principles and guidelines. Thank you

That is a great video. I really learnt a lot about the what coaching really mean. How do you explain mentoring?
@mindvalleycoach
4 жыл бұрын
We're so glad you found this video useful! And that's a great question. Mentoring is when an experienced individual (the mentor) shares their knowledge, experience, and advice with a less experienced person (the mentee). It's direct guidance, opposite to coaching which is based on helping the coachee find their own answers. We hope this clarifies! ;)

@mindvalleycoach
Жыл бұрын
Interesting question. We'd say a coach that doesn't really follow the foundational essence/principles of coaching (create rapport, deliver results, ask powerful questions, elicit insights instead of just giving advice, etc...), would probably not be considered a "coach."

The sequence you showed from How to Train Your Dragon with Astrid and Hiccup cemented it for me.
