Tari King, MD, and Elizabeth Ann Mittendorf, MD, PhD, co-directors of the Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) Program at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, discuss DCIS, including treatment options and opportunities to participate in research.
DCIS is the earliest form of breast cancer where the abnormal cells are confined within the milk duct of the breast. DCIS is sometimes referred to as stage 0 cancer, non-invasive breast cancer, or pre-cancer.
