Mt. Lebanon Lodge #32 here in NHnever went dark for over 200 years whether on the battlefield during the Civil War, two World Wars, Korea and Vietnam. Through every blizzard and calamity we opened like clockwork every first Wednesday. Until COVID. As a Past Master I implored the Grand Master to allow three healthy Brothers to safely meet and open and close a Lodge without ceremony so we could proudly say we never went dark. But the panic had spread too deep. We were dark for 8 months and it was heartbreaking. Once the Grand Master permitted us to meet again, because our current Master was afflicted, I had the honor to return to the East for this joyous occasion. Let us always remember this, and not let fear dictate the actions of our honorable fraternity again... So mote it be...

That's the end of the religious conversation in Lodge. I like the majority of men would like to live my time here on this earth in peace with my family and grow old hoping that my children's hopes and dreams can be realized. Not a bad ambition to strive for! To all those apposed to Freemasonry, ask yourself. What positive effect have you had on the world WITHOUT seeking acknowledgement for doing so? His philosophy so far as I can tell was learn what you can about other cultures and faiths as each one has some divine inspiration to it "Plato and Philo, also, were inspired." ***** I am an authority on the illuminati's 2000 year process to illiminate the Uncorrupted Catholic Faith from the face of the earth and how they failed. By a slow and steady rewrite of catholic liturgy to remove the true catholic trinity from the human consiousness.. and how they all most succeeded but they LOST...and will all move down jacobs ladder into Hell's fires.. Who is God of Heaven do you ask ?? why thats quite easy.. Epstein . God Our Lady.. God Jesus Christ , God The Holy Ghost.. The "lost' keys of Freemasonary are lost no more.. and they are simply the Keys to the Doors of Heaven when you die... but.. you ?..nope you sold you soul to cheaply... initiated as a Catholic heritic being led to the gallows. you can NEVER enter Heaven.. .. so what is your question ... I can type for hours....... and I have not even got to the good stuff..

I became a Freemason when I was 36 and it was the best thing I ever did. I am happier, I make three times the amount of money, I have no conflict in my life, and my music playing abiility skyrocketed. I just took over my own world...it's been a sweet ride.

A great video, well done! ... It is a shame to see so much ignorance in many of the comments. It is truly sad to me that there is so much vested interest in remaining ignorant of the true beauty and potential of humanity. That people must ridicule that which they don't truly understand in defense of their own religion.Jesus himself was a rebel against the vested interests of the religion of his day. Freemasonry teaches tolerance and acceptance as well a encouraging its members to seek understanding of their true nature and to suggest that Freemasonry it is Satanistic or Luciferic is to show ignorance of their own VSL / Bible.

The Shriners were set up in 1870 inspired by a musical comedy given as entertainment by an Arabian diplomat. In the USA Freemasonry had got the reputation of being dry and sober in nature so many masons wanted a degree that stressed fun and fellowship. Also, the reason why Jesus isn't mentioned in craft masonry is because Freemasonry is secular in nature, that is non denominational. I don't shove my Christian faith down the throat of a Sikh brother, that brother doesn't force his faith down mine

That is completely true. The Eastern Star is being Recognized as part of freemasonry but just from the fact that The Eastern Star is called the Eastern Star says something about it. Also, While women are being accepted into "regular" freemason lodges, I don't believe that they are AFAM lodges, the one's generally seen as the "original" freemason.

Most have been denied entrance, so they take there childish revenge by slandering our name. I dare these people to step into a shiners hospital, and look at all the free medical help we give to children and still honestly tell others we are still evil. I'm a Freemason, My grandfather was a Freemason, and his father before him, each have help many a people, with food, shelter, jobs and money when needed to his fellow man. We are not evil, people just hate what they do not understand or know.

I've been a Mason for 3 years and have never really had the time to devote to the craft. The truth is, for me, I joined for something different and to have a night out. When I'm at lodge I enjoy the fellowship. I enjoy the emphasis on doing good in the community. ...But it will always be second to my church.

B'nai B'rith. " One of the great triumphs of freemasonry is that those Gentiles never suspect we are using them to build their own prisons, upon whose steps we shall erect our Universal king of the Jews. They should never know we are commanding them to forge the chains of their own servitude"

Indeed, last time I checked the obligation of a master mason it explicitly said that I was under no obligation to shield the crimes of a mason, and in fact at my initiation I was enjoined to be a peaceable citizen and to obey every moral and social law. So the two together make it quite clear that if it comes to my knowledge that a mason has committed a criminal act it is my duty as a mason to see that justice is done.

We don't do it in secret, we just don't publicise it, there's a difference. We give millions of dollars away everyday throughout the world, but we do it quietly because we do it for the sake of charity, not personal gain. The rituals likewise are pretty easy to get hold of, Letchworth's is the store to go to in the UK, I imagine most Grand Lodges have their own shops to get hold of ritual books. The only secrets are methods of recognition and passwords, which acts like a proof of membership.

The answer to your question depends on what you mean by ordinary. If you mean can a man of average means, then my answer is absolutely yes. You do not need to be wealthy or powerful to be a Freemason. However, our fraternity does require you to be of extraordinary moral character. Freemasonry is not about making bad men good, but about making good men better. It is indeed the internal character of a man which we hold in regard, not the external characteristics.

We work on bettering our self for our community . Teaches you to be a better man for yourself and four your fellow brothers inside or out of the lodge

The trouble with freemasonry is it hasn't evolved with the times. If it dropped the oaths and the cowan stuff - and just concentrated on the symbolism - I think it'd be universally accepted. In fact its numbers would be growing instead of declining.

I know nothing of freemasonry, but after only a small amount of research on the internet, I believe it is an organisation that I'd like to be a part of.....any group of people dedicated bettering themselves & having an actively positive input into their communities has my vote well & truly over any politician or specific religious organisation. I also believe that non-denominational faith is far more beautiful and productive than mindless acceptance of indoctrination & religious competition.

As for 33, it's really not as masonically significant as people seem to think. The Scottish Rite has 33 degrees, yes, but that is one appendant order out of a great many, and something of a late comer, plus it started off with far fewer degrees. This can be considered an acid test, if someone says something like 33rd degrees ruling masonry or being the most important degree you can take it as read that the speaker doesn't know what they're talking about.

The Scottish rite on the North American continent tends to be quite theatrical from what I've been led to believe, having buildings that are in essence theatres. So it's the perfect place to become a live music venue, which is what happened, and the building got bought by a company that puts on music events.

When a man joins a lodge, he is asked several questions and to take an oath. A man who believes in a Higher Power will be more likely to keep his vow than a man who holds no belief in a supreme being. Those who believe in God will not make a vow that they do not intend to keep. There are many people out there who speak badly of freemason. I can not speak for all freemasons nor for all lodges but I can tell you that I am a Christian and my lodge requires that you be Christian or defend our faith.
@McMorganTheMerc

Freemasonry works on the idea that there is only one god, the Architect of the Universe, which is sort of a nickname for the god of any religion. We masons use this name because each of us, no matter what religion, believe in one god. The two great dividers of men are Religion and Politics, which is why neither are spoken of within a lodge. The prayers we take at the lodge only show our devotion and unity to our brothers and our devotion to our religion, as well as our respect for one another.

The blue forget-me-not pin was adopted by the Freemasons of Germany and other Nazi-occupied countries as a means of recognizing one another. Displaying the traditional "square and compasses" emblem was forbidden by Hitler and the Nazi party.
