As someone who worked in Harlem for years I can honestly say that a lot of drug abuse, drug selling, untreated mental illness and violent drug culture is what’s going on in Harlem despite all the Gentrification.

Compared to Corona, Jackson heights I would say that the streets are desolate and people don't see pretty much. Looks like a Dead Zone.

It felt more unsafe at times in East Harlem when going to Patsys, than it did at 42 and 8th in Manhattan at my hotel. lol

Rode the 60 bus from La Guardia Airport… when the bus driver got to Lex / 125… his announcement was “ Zombie Land “ people got out and walked fast down to the train station… 😵💫😬😂 Yet the area is much cleaner..

125th street from lexington avenue to 125th & 8th avenue is not the totality of Harlem. Lets see you walking on 135th, 145th and 116th from river to river at night. You didn't do that here. I will admit that lexington ave has always been bad, even when pathmark was there, however that is just one area and not the whole of HARLEM. Don't just show the bad parts, show the good parts too. Yup, I live here, on the west side, not the east. I also noticed you got on the train and went back downtown, probably where you live.
