Black women fall into two historically (and currently) wildly underrepresented groups in the US Tech industry. Only 25% of tech workers are female, Black representation in the field is increasing at a snail's pace. Of course, these issues are not limited to the workforce -- representation is lacking in higher ed STEM programs at large. @newyorkuniversity student Nakeya Adams, who serves as President of the National Society of Black Engineers, talks about her experience and how she has coped with challenges that start early and never seem to end.
