The best water free hand wash I have found is the gunk we have all been using during COVID. About %95 of workshop stuff comes off and you wipe off with a rag that you get to reuse, unlike baby wipes.

That's a good point, i'll have to stash a couple of bottles down the workshop.

This is how I make it but I use permanent marker refill liquid. I think I paid 2 quid for 25ml bottle which will make around 2ltrs (maybe more) of fluid. Clean-up is the same. Thanks for sharing.

That’s probably a lot less messy too, the gentian violet crystals make a real mess if they’re dropped in even the smallest amount.

hi, do you make your own lathe coolant?
@ImpracticalMachinist

I don't, but i've got a couple of coolant systems to rebuild, one for a tool grinder, the other for a lathe which i'll be filming sooni-ish. So maybe i'll look into it in conjunction with that.

Where did you get the bottles?

IKEA, but if you have a search for “touch up bottles” you’ll find ones that are made of plastic and have a brush built into the cap, much more convenient.
