I travel to Otog Banner in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, the city where most of China's cashmere comes from. But I'm not here for the cashmere. I'm here to find out whether you can eat a Cashmere goat.
And apparently you can! The meat of a cashmere goat is so tasty, it's referred to by locals as the Ginseng of Meats. So, I got in touch with a young cashmere goat herder who very kindly said I could spend the day with him, herding his cashmere goat herd and sampling some cashmere goat meat.
