As a Scot I could hardly understand any of it, but that's because I'm from Glasgow and Scots is mostly spoken in the Northeast around Aberdeenshire. I can understand the Glasgow patter fine, which is almost unintelligible to most english speakers. But it is still definitely english. If you were to subtitle it you would be able to hear that it's english. Scots is so different and I can hardly understand it at all.

Scots is spoken across the country, and also in Glasgow. There are different dialects of Scots and this one is more likely to be East/North East, but we do speak Scots down here in the central belt! You probably speak it all the time- that Glasgow patter you mention is probably mostly Scots! Plus think of things you were probably told off for saying as a kid because it was ‘slang’ or phrases your parents/grandparents would say. Scots was discouraged generally, and especially in schools for a long time, so many of us don’t even realise we speak Scots.

I can't decide which language is prettier, Scottish or Irish. Thanks for the translation!
