This is a follow up to my previous video with regard to selecting the right scope for imaging. However, this video shows how the camera sensor size and pixel size along with the telescope are factored into the equation to produce the image. This also leads to other concepts such as resolution, scale, oversampling, and undersampling which I will also discuss.
Why am I suddenly worried about all this, well I purchased a Celestron Edge HD8 a couple of months ago and wanted to ensure my new imaging train would work. I have no clue when this scope will arrive - it may still be in China or sitting on a cargo ship waiting to dock in LA.
