What does it mean when your cargo gets rolled?
Rolled cargo means the cargo could not be loaded onto a vessel that it was initially scheduled to sail on because that vessel ran out of capacity.
What can I do to avoid having my cargo rolled?
You can start off by not going with the cheapest Freight Forwarder available. Shipping carriers will select the cargo they allow onboard in order of the most expensive, to the cheapest. When shipping demand is high, the cargo that paid the lowest for their spot are "rolled" onto the next shipment and are still not guaranteed a spot on that vessel.
