I am suffering from anxiety and depression and I was literally in tears when doc was talking about what we feel and how people dont understand what we go through. I have lots of physical problems.Had few surgeries but nothing is as painful and dark as mental illness.Hope nobody ever goes through it.@Ranveer-Thanks for taking this topic.Also this episode was more towards self diagnosing,substance,etc..More towards exploiting mental health terms..It would be good if you can let doctor talk more about us.What a patient goes through,out struggles etc which will help others to understand our problem better. We keep hearing comments like everyone has depression,its all in the mind ,etc which hurts most.

I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for 6 months and let me tell you it was the toughest experience that I had to undergo in my life. Trust me I consider myself very strong mentally and despite that i struggled every day. Also, I was living in a new city alone and that made it worse. By God's grace, I was able to come out of it, but i would always remember that phase as the darkest phase in my life! 😢

My mother was suffering from hearing voices in her mind, depression and anxiety since 2010 but got diagnosed for the first time in 2013 when the condition was critical, in 2014 she lost her husband and became the sole bread earner of the family, we struggled to make ends meet but somehow she kept pushing herself for her kids, during the end of 2019 things became very nasty and she was again diagnosed in 2020 and had to live through it through the pandemic, it was so horrible a situation that only she knows, today is the day after my 19th birthday and I can't cry but say she is again going back down the same spiral of things, she woke me up and said "beta doctor ke le chal chakkar aa rah hai", probably I am most heart broken and feared now in my life, the only thing I wish from god is the good health of my mother, I hope she fights her way out of this, she will. Thanks Ranveer for this episode, I was looking for something that would make me feel empathetic towards my mother.

Can't wait to dive in. I know already that this episode is gonna be AMAZING. Dr. Samir Parikh is remarkable at what he does. I was truly lucky I got to attend a workshop conducted by him at Fortis, almost six years back now, in eighth grade and until now, I haven't been able to forget that experience of how he encouraged us to brainstorm and think about doing our bit for the environment. Him talking about the Global Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) that day is something that has stuck with me and I'd bet I still even have the carbon footprint activity he engaged the participants in alongside Ms. Divya. Seeing his face on the thumbnail instantly brought all of those memories back. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB TO SEE HIM ON TRS! ❤ ALL THE BIOLOGY PODCASTS ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES!

After trying for so much of medical treatment for pcods, it couldn't help for longer time instead it got more worsen. As I started changing my lifestyle , my diet , my sleeping pattern and more importantly as i started doing meditation and gratitude morning and evening it helped me so much. I am so much relief and relaxed now. So , i recommend everyone to do deep breathing and gratitude meditation at least for 10-15min each day. It is one of the key medication for upliftment of mental health.❤😊

I have been in therapy for 2 years , I would say medicines saved me in critical moments because my state was such that I couldn’t get out of bed, pins and needles sensation in arms and legs due to anxiety. Now I’m much better but I have a long journey to go and I refuse to give up. One day I’ll come out of this. I pray that no one has to go through what I have been through. I've been suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, adhd , ocd, since 3 yrs most prominently, i have it since i was 11 years, but it worsen when i was 15, im turning 19 in jan 2025, lately i went to nimhans, Bangalore, my docs said that, i have a genetic ocd and that caused me all the other mental health issues, and ocd fluctuates, which I've experienced that at some point of my life, i just feel like im out of this ocd trap and at some point im again there, i must say this is hell and ive left Medicines and therapy cus im just tired of running to docs and docs and docs, but a free advice which i would give to ocd patient from my personal experience is that, just ignore it if u feel like following your belief or rituals ik it would scare u at first but just think for once, take a chance or a risk, trust me its soo helpful you may feel like if u dont flw it , it will harm your loved ones buut please do try this!! whenever u feel like doing the ritual, just resist yourself , this has helped me 90% in my ocd

I am so glad that someone is talking about the exact scenario about mental illness , being diagnosed professionally I had faced a lot of hurdles from society and everyone would come and just say ki you are doing it purposefully to gain attention And the main struggle was to face the fear that comes with such diagnosis because there is no authentic information on it .... And facing everything alone because nobody would understand what I was going through ... But I am glad that I am strong , I stood strong and believed on my doctor instead of society , I faced everything and I got my life back This video is definately going to help many people facing this issue who are diagnosed professionally!

Ranveer you need to ask specific questions. This discussion being on such an important issue seems a bit lost.

This is a much needed conversation. There are millions suffering from mental illness and most are not able to get the help they need. Our society is doomed if something is not done. God help us.

This doctor has bad ratings everywhere in the internet . It’s like no one gives a shit about him. Many unhappy patients he has . You can check the reviews . Bring healthy gamer KZitem channel guy . Alok Kanojia . Alok talks more deeply about anxiety , adhd and all other mental illnesses. I guess he is far better. Also he is from USA . Even if he has 12 years experience or more I am not sure , his experience will add more weightage because he comes from USA . Try watching his videos you will know what I am saying .

Much needed to address mental health and remove stigma and how to approach it 😊. It is considered a public health concern today.

I don't know whether I should be happy that someone is talking about mental health or I should be sad, people will always be ready to hurt other people without knowing the cost of it. Sometimes the person who is in depression also doesn't know that they are in depression, please be aware of what you are speaking. I strongly feel we are evolving in other ways but as human community we are de-evolving, we are in 2024 still we don't know how to speak with others and how to treat others.

Buddy Sushant was murdered!!!! He was a topper he had no signs of depression!!! Lets not bring SSR in this topic😢. Our justice is screwed up, power and money can corrupt anything in India.

Knowledge is power, learn the propaganda techniques of the wicked, learn the fallacies they use while arguing, so you can figure out the truth, but don't be like them. Learn basic logic. To know yourselves use astrology. For food if they deprive you out of it - Buy some roasted chickpeas chanas, with water you can make sattu and be energized, if possible go to a langar, the energy of sikh people will touch your wounded heart. If there are psychopaths involved, no contact is the best solution.

I’ve been through anxiety disorder 10 years back. Came out of it strong as hell. It has relapsed a week back, the suffering is even more intense this time. Such a coincidence that this episode aired now. I feel I’ll come out even stronger this time 💪🏻

@@mohitdharmani561 then is it a bipolar disorder in which you feel maniac or depression at different times?
@mohitdharmani561

@@Gojo-cu7ui not bipolar. It’s anxiety disorder where there are bodily symptoms, symptoms that my brain is aware of, which i may not have had before. But my brain tells me that I’m suffering through it, and I feel it. Vitals are all normal. All reports done.
