A mere alignment of our actions and words with our thoughts and feelings is not sufficient to truly embody sincerity. In this video, Shivakumar goes into the deeper aspects of what it really means to be sincere. This video is a part of the tiny newsletter series of Integral Education (IE) Portal.
Here are a few select quotes from the Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram - one of the pioneers of Integral Education -, which give a deep insight into the nature of Sincerity and its true source:
“Sincerity -what we call sincerity, that is to say, a perfect honesty and transparency: that there may be nowhere in the being anything which pretends, hides or wants to pass itself off for what it is not.”
“We give the name “psychic” to the psychological centre of our being, the seat within us of the highest truth of our existence, that which can know this truth and set it in movement.”
Q: Is the psychic being in the heart?
A: “Not in the physical heart, not in the organ. It is in the fourth dimension, an inner dimension. But it is in that region, the region somewhat behind the solar plexus, it is there that one finds it most easily.”
Q: Is there a power of observation in the psychic?
A: “More than that! There is the capacity for a direct vision of things. It is like a mirror in which all things are reflected, whatever they may be. But that is just what most children, when not deformed, have very clearly, a great sensibility-for example, to the atmosphere of those who approach them. There are children who, without any apparent reason, rush towards one person and run away in horror from another.”
“… with sincerity one can attain everything, even the Divine.”
