Hey guys! Nice video, I enjoyed very mutch watching it. Basque loans in english? Head honcho?!, wow! that's awesome! Well, as a truly basque and a big JRR Tolkien fan, I can't help you with the Gondor issue. However, there is a fact that I think you will find interesting: Did you know that most likely Tolkien took the name for Bilbo Baggins from the basque city of Bilbao? Yes, it sounds crazy, Tolkien used to take names from ancient english for some charaters. Well, in the sixteenth century the iron stuff crafted in Bilbao was named "bilbo". Maybe its doesn't seem very credible but Shakespeare used it in some works, for examle in "The merry wives of Windsor" or even in Hamlet! As tolkien Tolkien was a great english filologist, it's sure he knew well this works and it is very probable that he took this word from this books to name the main character of his first book. You can find more about this here: openliterature.net/2010/04/08/word-of-the-day-bilbo/ Hope you find this interesting! see you!

I am from Greece and I really hope you someday get to have your own country! I have a question: What do the basques say about independence? Does the majority actually want an independent country or are they fine with being a part of Spain? Also why don't you hold a referendum? Does Spain not allow you to?

Bear Pig Man That is a very interesting question. I'm Basque, and personally I want to be independent from Spain. The thing is that here in the Basque Country we have very diverse opinions, from which some are reflected in politics. We have two main Basque political parties: PNV and Bildu (which is a big political party formed by a lot of smaller ones). Then, we have Spanish political parties that are also important in here; for example, PP, PSOE and Podemos. In theory, "both" the Basque parties are in favour of the independence, and the Spanish parties are not (excluding Podemos, which is new and we don't exactly know what they want to do with us). The thing is that neither of the two Basque groups have been successful in our independence. One (PNV) is very slow and inactive and the independence is not its main priority, and the other (Bildu) is too radical, and the Spanish government is against them because they are to some extents connected to ETA (the terrorist group mentioned at the video). Also, the actual Spanish government (ruled by the PP) is completely against our independence, and they won't let it happen. Yes, we've made some referendums (not much) and activities but they weren't successful. But don't think the politicians are the only cause for this to happen; there are a lot of Basque citizens who doesn't support the independence, and others who don't care, and that doesn't help. But I feel like the day will come, and we will be independent one day, as well as the Catalans. We must keep trying :)

TripleMpro221 As a Basque, dont know we would win a lot. But we want to have our representation worldwide, as Basques. And we're economically quite good so i dont see why not. Thats my opinion, must people here dont want the independence though.

We are planning to go to Basque Country in Spain and France and I have 2 questions: 1- Which is a better option to stay at: Bilbao or San Sebastian? 2- How can we find good options for agritourism as we would like to spend a night on a farm/rural area?

Both options are good but uf you'll go to Iparralde (French side) probably is better in Donostia (San Sebastian). To get rural agroturism you can see in www.nekatur.net
