The batman is when batman learned to trust his team early on and was rewarded for it by still having night wing and Oracle by his side in his older age Meanwhile tas he really shouldered the burden of everything by himself especially after Alfred passed away making him end up alone giving up until terry appeared. Both really good

Did clay face the best. Riddler. Police force. Also allowed batman to have a good deal of free time showing Gotham isn't as crime crazy as it appears which it isn't. So much this show did and definitely needs to be appreciated more. Sure tas is better but batman shows are always top class

I never did understand the dislike this show had when it first came out. I mean I did but I didn't. Like do you want every Batman adaptation to be the same. That would be boring. Like imagine a world where TMNT or Transformers had all there adaptaions never try to reinvent the wheel, mix things up, or just try something knew. It would be horrible.

9:40 Saying "Firefly's design in the show is not great" is honestly the single most unpopular opinion I've ever heard about this show. Pretty much everyone who's seen the show says that it has the best design for Firefly ever.

This the show I grew up with on TV. Batman TAS was not my childhood so I my vision of the Bat was shaped by this TV Series and the Nolan Trilogy. Something to highlight is the music. The Batman guitar riff and the first intro are iconic. PS: The worst thing about the show was the lack of more popular villains like Scarecrow and Two Face due to WB producing the Live Action movies.

Can we just agree that the badass intro song from the first 2 seasons is one of the best intro themes in animated shows history?

This show is so underrated, I would say it easily has the best adaptation of Hugo strange and Firefly. Also I think it has one of the best portrayals of Joker that should be what Modern joker is now A clone with enough physical prowess you can believe he could fight Bats hand-to-hand. Also his crimes are so ridiculously extravagant you can’t help but laugh at it YET he still manages to be intimidating and scary when he needs to be. He’s the perfect joker in this era of joker Oversaturation

I know a lot of people really don´t like the Riddler design in this one (for some reason) and I have one counterargument against that. Robert England, enough said.

It's kind of weird to me in that I grew up watching this series. It was my first exposure to Batman on TV, even if it didn't get me to read the comics. Problem is, I don't remember much about the show and its episodes, and even after watching this video, the only story I remembered as a child was the Clayface two-parter from Season One because Ethan Bennett's transformation into the man of clay was so shocking and horrifying to me that it never left my memories. But then I watched Batman TAS a year ago and remembered the majority of the episodes. I really don't know why I failed to remember this series when I had fond memories of other cartoons. Eh, it is what it is.

As growing up in the late 90s and early 00s my childhood was defined by Batman: The Animated Series first but then by The Batman tv show and The Dark Knight Trilogy. This is how I came in contact with the Dark Knight and how he came to be my most beloved character.

This was my first introduction to Batman as a kid and was what got me into Batman growing up, even before I ever watched Batman The Animated Series or Batman: Brave and the Bold in my teen years. This show was my first introduction to Batman as a kid, and honestly, it's my favourite Batman show, and its hard to believe the show is already 20 years old. I absolutely LOVE the animation, art style and redesigns of the characters, especially Joker (one of my favourite takes on Joker), Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Mr Freeze, Firefly, Catwoman, Riddler, Killer Croc, Clayface, Man-Bat, etc... all of them had such cool, sleek and creative designs that truly made this show stand out as its own thing and that's one of the many reasons I love it so much. I really love this shows take on Batman as more laid back and mentally stable Batman that hasn't let the darkness completely overtake him as its such a refreshing change from the status quo. I also love Bruce and Alfred's relationship and how much Bruce grows as a character accepting Batgirl and adopting Robin and rheir dynamic together is truly fun to watch as this might be my favourite take on the Bat-Family in an adaptation as they all had great chemistry with each other.

I never watched this until last year either! Overall a pretty good show with some exceptionally strong episodes; the fact that it’s clearly geared towards children didn’t take the fun or drama out of it for me, I liked the unique takes of classic rogues, especially detective Bennett’s arc. I hated that Detective Yin just disappeared though! And the changed character designs halfway through the show were mostly downgrades. Seems the studio, as usual, is the real villain. Hah.

@@SalazarKnight it was also crazy seeing animated iterations of cool ideas that had been adapted into games and other media, as you repeatedly drew attention to in the video, like Joker on Venom and Batman who Laughs, etc. etc. Another great upload, my friend. I can see why somebody would be bothered with the toy-etic aspects of the show, but for me personally I just never really was bothered by that because it never broke my immersion. Transformers Prime still did that and I love that show with all of my heart. I don’t know why it doesn’t bother me. It could be because I’m a glass half full kind of person.

The Batman (2004) is the most underrated Batman cartoon of all time. While I didn't care for its versions of Mr. Freeze or Bane, but I absolutely love it's versions of Batman, the Joker, Penguin and Clayface, and there were some characters that were better than the Animated Series like Hugo Strange, Firefly, and Maximilian Zeus. It also has my personal favorite adaptation of Alfred and the new characters they introduced, like Ethan Bennett and Ellen Yin were fun and likable. I wished they didn't get discarded after the last couple seasons.

The Batman was my childhood! If you can’t tell from my profile pic, I love this show so much and hot take, this is my favorite version of the Batman mythos, it succeeded in making the world of the dark knight unique & modern doing it’s own thing while respecting what’s come before. I wish it got the love it deserved years ago but better late than never.

Such an underrated series that I decided to watch complete in pandemics, despite my watching it when I was a kid. This cartoon is its own thing, and, if you ask me, a much better "THE BATMAN" than Reeves's, who is restricting himself to repeating Nolan's formula for the nth time.
