It's a sad thing that Samurai Revolution stepped away from the game, he was a bit of an institution in the game (at least for us Spanish speakers we still have Mayorcete Gaming to help carry the baton forward). However, to be honest, in my opinion you've by now already outgrown those two channels in quality of content. Keep up the good work! Really looking forward to this video series, it kind of addresses a question I posted here yesterday.

For me Samurai Revolution channel isn't about being the best player, but having fun with game and cheese strategies. Competitive playing is not all.

Mayorcete no sabe ni reparar edificios y solo se pasa quejando cuando una partida no le sale bien.🤣 Con Samurai Revolution te la pasas bien, asi gane o pierda, el hace que las partidas sean entretenidas.
@vladimirlagos2688

@@sirgando3774 I agree, just yesterday the game crashed on me for the fifth time since launch date. I also feel the new Swedish faction needs some serious rebalancing. Thanks for the great videos, I really love that they are so in depth and provide a lot of context. That makes them really stand out from simple build order tutorials where you are simply told to do A, then B, then C without any reasoning on the objective of the strategy.

This is super helpful! I usually just comp-stomp and don't do PvP, but I still want to deepen my understanding of the game. With so many options and different units for each civ, it's a harder game to get my head around than its predecessor AoE2. But those options are also what make AoE3 so interesting and fun to mess around with, especially now that Definitive Edition has all cards unlocked from the start. (Finally I can play with all the cool mercenary cards the Germans have!)

I get it with him not being a competitive players, but so do i and many other players, something that many people forget. Samrev definitely spark many people interest and one of the pioneer that keep the game commnunity afloat all these years. Too bad i saw so many hate comment from the so called good players that didn't even contribute to growing and keeping the game interest afloat. Shame on them. You did a very professional aoe3 video and thanks for the shout out for him. Cheers for your growing channel 👍

You should do a guide on holding onto your early shipments, as portal I can usually age up with 1 shipment spend in age 1. I hold onto another shipment then in age two I send both crossbow men and musketeers with a barracks to follow up. You can hold your shipments and get a huge advantage that way.

Great Job Aussie! you are very good at this! Just yesterday I was thinking about strategies.... 10 years ago i used to play alot 2v2 with friends and the RUSH startegy was the best (I was around 1st lieut and capt rank) ...FF was only in 1v1 . But now in AGE 3DE i play more 3v3 or even 4v4 with friends and rush seem to be weak. Too many to destroy .. even if you burn 1 enemy you can be sure that the others 2/3 are harrassing your civ with cav or fast fortressing.... :( any advice? Or can you make a video where you analize team games depending on the size of the match? thx keep going aussie!

Regarding your question what you could do better, i dont really have any complaints so far. You talk clearly and slowly, you make sure its comprehensive for new players but still include enough new stuff so that old players that had a pretty high rank still find it entertaining. A suggestion i would have for new content would be to show news surrounding aoe3 de. By surrounding aoe3 de i mean stuff like - informing us when a building rotation mod is released for de - inform us when there is a website up that shows player information - updates on general information like when new patches are planned, what the most played civs are, their winpercentage etc. Maybe have this as kind of a news segment once every 1 or 2 weeks to keep everyone up to date :D

What I like about Age of Empires 3 (and the AOE series more broadly) is that it breaks out of the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" mold of most RTS games. Rush beats boom Boom beats turtle Turtle beats rush AOE's aging mechanics, such as fast fortress or fast revolt, complicate the meta and create a much more dynamic field of strategies. Edit; AoE3's addition of home city cards further distinguishes it from the franchise.

Hey, from your Vids it seems that AoE3 has very little defenders advantage. You can proxy buildings/shipments, most maps are pretty open, walling is not cost effectiv and the TC dmg is a joke (compared to aoe2). Havn't touched the game in years, but is my impression correct that aggression is really hard to stop and matches often end quickly?
