I am in love with this man. To desire, to crave for success is to crave for being loved. It is the compelling need to be convinced of something of which we are not inwardly convinced. It is the fight for the conquest of a lost crown. It is the fight of our parent, of our brother, of our neighbour, of the foreigner, of our enemy. It is a cancer that unites us all. And yet this cancer that is a terminal disease affects us all. The very nature of this disease informs us of the very answer to this need. We are not alone. We are one. Beautiful, alive, mortal, ever-transforming, ever-dying, ever-living beings.

What is the sensation of desire?: do I notice a change in bio chemistry and tension ie. “Emotion”. Is emotion the same as sensation, or is it sensation plus personal preference? Does “ attachment” narrow focus and create thought that robs us of both awareness of sensation and any appreciation of it? Is desire How thought “hooks” attention away from sensation? "Thought is a material process" ( K ). Sensation is also a product of the brain activity, a response of the brain from the senses. It´s not different from thought, and comes from the same brain. JK understood that thought is a product of the brain, but the sensation is not, which is a big mistake. Everything comes from the brain. A material process.

Sensation is there, then thought comes and says "I want this". Why? Is it a habit of thought? Or, is it because thought is in contact of memory of some other sensation (possibly a more pleasant one) and wants to realize that sensation? In any case, the sensation demands an action. Should we suppress that action? Does the observation of this phenomenon itself make us free from this process?

And, all the things created from humanity, are not things that came from desire?. that things dindt help us to live better?. So, the people who want something and attains it. whats wrong with that?. why we want to disolve desire? we need to disolve frustation of not making the desire posibble. and be happy with the desire.. wheter its can come true or not.

I wonder if its okay that I dont see the purpose of implying that desire isn’t helpful? Do you think he is implying that? The process of becoming is everywhere in nature, evolution in the beautiful forms around us is a process of becoming. If I dont have desire how will I create a life that I can survive in this world in terms of making money? People normally have a desire to succeed because they are trying to make sure they can survive materially. I love K I think he was amazing, but I wonder it must have been easy for Krishnamurti to not bother about this since he had money given to his hand throughout his life. He never, not once, had to fight for his material survival. Every single thing was given to him. He went around in luxurious accommodation always, because that is what Blavatsky told the theosophists to do since they thought he was going to be Maitreya. He had no understanding of that brain experience of needing to survive materially. What is desire? Are there not different levels of desire? Ones that are needed for evolution, for material existence? Ones that are there because the person’s soul wants to manifest its nature in the world? We wouldn’t have all the beautiful things we enjoy if it wasn’t for humans following their souls desire. What if Einstein hadn’t tried to figure out quantum physics? And there are desires that come from emotional wounding and the ones that have been implanted and imposed from society? There isn’t one root to desire. There is nothing wrong with seeking a personal meaning to ones life. There is a book called “mans search for meaning” by Victor Frankl, where he says that the people who were able to survive in concentration camps were the ones who had meanings. This isn’t a small thing, meaning is the difference btw survival and not surviving. Btw having a reason to keep going, to keep fighting and not having one. K doesnt have a clue what its like to fight for survival in a concentration camp environment for example. He lived in a bubble, he never once had to face evil. Every single thing about his physical existence was so easy for him that he forgot about it. It’s perfectly easy to sit and look at a lovely tree and notice its beauty without needing to give it significance, when you are sitting comfortably, and you are not hungry or suffering from ptsd. So easy not to need to seek security when you’ve never been under that pressure.

To answer your question, or at least try, I’d say there are actually two things to consider. 1. LET GO Karma. By “Karma” I mean the Big Game of our Universe, where chained circumstances create knitted canvas of our existence. Every being, every critter has its path in life for certain reasons which are usually beyond our comprehension. The Karma is hard to define, but there are so many situations where you can witness nothing but Karma. When you try something so hard, but it just doesn’t work that way. When I try to dance as relaxed, as devoted as possible, but I still look like a bag of beans spinning around :). You remember this song “I want it ALL, I want it ALL, and I want it NOW”. How about, stand back for a while, listen to the morning breeze, and let go. Let your Path lead you through your Path. The experience in your life tries to point you to the right direction. From this experience we get the knowledge. The knowledge develops the understanding. And when we combine knowledge and understanding with modesty and gratitude, there comes wisdom. Example 1: Everybody have seen a kid rolling on the floor of the supermarket, screaming because parents refused an ice cream to him. This kid is acting like this due to lack of his understanding. There is a desire, right here, right now, but with lack of understanding. After several experiences of ice cream refusal, this kid will eventually learn that ice cream will remain out of his reach nevertheless. Then he will learn that staying without ice cream will not kill him, or reduce the joy at the playground later. And this understanding built upon knowledge will help this kid to walk by the ice cream shelf peacefully. And after next visit to the supermarket, his parents will likely regard him with a big cup of ice cream at home. Example 2: One Apple on the apple tree wanted to grow big, to become the biggest apple in the tree. Why not? Somebody have to be the biggest, the greatest! I want to be the biggest! -the Apple said. But it wasn’t so. The Apple was smallish. And remained that way. Then the Apple even wanted to drop off from the tree, out of misery and misfortune. But eventually, Apple decided to stop whining over the facts. Instead, Apple decided to become very sweet inside. And Apple lived like this, taking only the finest juices from the tree, because this was available. And it was easy, juices were flowing like a nectar river through the body of the Apple. And it became very red therefore. One day in the autumn, a mother with small kid walked by that apple tree. Fruit was ripe. “Would you like an apple my dear?” -mother asked her 6 year old daughter. “Yes, please!” Mother reached to pick two apples. “Here’s one for you, one for me. Look how nice and big they are.” “But mommy..." -kid complained after a short while "This apple is so big I cannot bite it!” “Okay, let me find another one for you” Kid throws the big apple to the ground. “Here, this one is a smaller, and look how red it is!” Girl delightfully clapped with her small hands. They started to eat. “Those apples are quite good, don’t you think?”- mother said. “Oh mommy, what a joy, this is the sweetest apple I've ever tasted IN MY LIFE!!!!” 2. GOOD VIBES Your state of mind, which creates Karma processes and which influence Karma processes, is a big player here. But this path, or in more general terms “Karma” if you will, has tendency to bend or to adjust. Or even utterly change. It adjusts to many other influences, but most important is yours. Your state of mind, your thoughts, your feelings. This is the purpose of meditation, a good meaningful meditation. To train the positive way of thinking, not in your brain, but in your heart. Luise Hay has plenty to say about that. Here I will mention only Fear, because it is most common energy, a burden in everybody’s life. When you want something, there is Fear. When you are ambitious, there is Fear. When things don’t develop as you expected, there is Fear. In many cases you can’t even recognize presence of Fear. But Fear is very powerful destructive energy. Destructive to your body (illness), sanity (illness), Karma (bringing even less desirable situations). And it’s very easy to create Fear and live with it. Because this civilization we live in is teaching us from day 1 there are so many things to fear from. There is so popular fear from unsuccessful business. Or poverty. Or fear from illness of whatever kind (e.g., Angelina Jolie's mastectomy). The deep contemplation and consciousness helps here plentiful. What is the worst that could happen to me? No Rolex on my wrist? Pain in my body? Death? I don't care about all of that -I choose Life! I wouldn’t say you are the creator of your own situations in life. I would rather say -you have the choice. You can choose to enjoy life and given circumstances, to learn, to experience. And to stay calm with inner independent happiness, glowing like a candle in the dark. And if you do that just because you appreciate the Life you’ve been given, whereas out of gratitude you give joy and love in return, that means you’re NOT doing that in expectation that Life will consequently bring you back some favorable situation you desire. And then you will just laugh at yourself, witnessing those “favorable situations” of yours coming to you in abundance. But would you care that much then? :)

my understanding is that he goes into deeper explanation than a simple answer to what is failure. understanding ones desire, meaning of it determine the consequence.. Society has norms and limiting your desires to that norms might be seen as failure. I believe he talks about the beauty of sensation.. the experience itself is priceless and positive.. what we go in life and how we perceive it is the answer... if you see failure, others may see lessons and be grateful.. your choice , the remedy is to be aware and not stoping questioning and learning

Failure is the result of trying new things or methods, without failure there would be no improvement, keep trying, embrace failure.

If you've ever wondered what divinity would sound like if it became frustrated with man... Here's your sign. We make everything difficult when all is done for us. Like babies slapping away the food we know we need and want but choosing to ignore our senses and screaming in anger, "Why is this happening!?" Let us calm down and recognize we've always been the power we've sought outside ourselves.

"If you want to give meaning to your life, it's not life. It's another escape from yourself, from what you are" ... Of course it's a desire, to conjugate a meaning to your paralyzed life.... You want your life a very special one, not ordinary, without doing anything about it, simply following the way the world is that is everybody does the same, coming suffering the rotten way of public education which is the foundation of all the rest. This way of thinking might help ... it has been working for me. I have three parts in my life: adult life, childhood (maybe two here, as much as I can remember and that part I cannot remember), and ... the prenatal life. And conditioning started after this (for some wealthy traditional families would have started even before). The part that I cannot remember, I still have ways to feel about it, by asking or assuming or intellectual/ educated guessing process ... which is perhaps more important, to understand myself. How about answering your child for such the question and all you know is negative that the child would not like to have remembered...? You might like to conjugate that part ... So, where is the truth? I have to find it, for an urgent changes to occur. However, other than someone I know, do some people recall how it was like to be settling and growing in the womb, as physical formation process, at the least? Sure we can find some general idea from the medical research! Could there be some kind of spiritual seed planted at the beginning of this stage, as well? Jesus said "Leave 99 sheep you have collected and look for the one lost sheep." And he also said that one must thread together all the jewels of memories into all one, and see as one whole piece, for the total understanding of me, to come. God bless humanity. We humans are the light bearers. We must do our job right, by understanding ourselves, the first and the foremost. And K says, "Be the Light to Yourself."

Sensation is normal and healthy. Then thought appropriates the sensation and creates an image - of 'Me with that house / car / etc.' This is how desire is born. Thus we are slave to desire.

Well you can comment on tradition today or even mock it. Don't think that makes you aware or smart. This man has figured out the truth. But he was not very highly successful in making others realize because his method is too easy. Enquire. That's all. It will take so long if it's not your thing. You may give up very easily. So find your calling. May be it lies in Hatha Yoga. Or Dhyana. Or Astanga Yoga itself. Only one who meets the *four ways equally will prosper fast. May you 🙏
