Possible, she is known to enjoy a drink or two, and is known to have a champagne with her lunch and G&T with dinner. Excessive amounts that we're talking about here that would impair your ability to maintain composure at state functions and events or administrative duties however I would rule out. That would more likely be attributable to her mother, or sister, who was known to be quite the party animal. KInda makes sense when you consider as immediate family to the monarch, they wouldn't have much else to do, but have the means to live lavishly.. I doubt many people would choose to abstain from enjoying themselves when placed in the same situation .

Though they are keeping it the same, as you mention it is being renovated at an amazing cost which are rightly picked up by the government. As you mentioned the queen does not own it, the royal family gave the crown estate to the government. I should point out the money the government makes from renting out the crown estate properties far exceeds the money given to the queen and the renovation costs combined.

Why are there so many inaccuracies in this one video, @Weird History? I can understand you showing the Palace of Westminster on one occasion but to do it a couple of times is inexcusable, isn't it? The Palace of Westminster is better known as the Houses of Parliament here in the U.K. and considering that's where all of our politicians sit there's a very noticeable difference between the two, isn't there? The difference is that the Queen is forbidden by law to enter the House of Commons and can only sit in the House of Lords when it comes to the State Opening of Parliament when she delivers her speech to both Houses as well as to the rest of the nation. This obviously means that while she can walk anywhere around Buckingham Palace whenever she chooses she can't do exactly the same thing when it comes to the Palace of Westminster, can she? As you're supposed to be a history channel omitting the reason for her not to be able to walk anywhere around the Palace of Westminster is another omission on your part - it's because of what happened after the end of the English Civil War in the 17th Century under Cromwell and the Parliamentarians when it became a Republic until Charles II ascended the Throne. I laughed out loud when it came to your ridiculous explanation of Her Majesty's insignia....it's NOT 'E I I R' as you wrongly stated but E R ( or Elizabeth Regina ) with the Roman numerals for the number 2, i.e. II, in between those two letters. It beggars belief that you don't know sufficient Latin to realise this because it should actually read as Elizabeth Regina II or to translate it into English from Latin it's Queen Elizabeth the Second, isn't it? Keep up your American comedic version of our British history because it's absolutely priceless and is always guaranteed to raise a laugh or two, isn't it?

@@adamlhotak8180 Not really, every president gets paid about $400k every year they're in office and $200k after their term is up.
