I have a lot of things to say! 1. I’m so pleased you are showing the process of your renovation. I love seeing it, and honestly it wouldn’t feel half as satisfying as a viewer if you just showed the finished product. 2. I’m so impressed with the work you guys are putting into the house. It’s inspiring. 3. I don’t know anyone that has brought a property, be it sparking new build or old Victorian, that hasn’t had unexpected problems or costs. It’s horrible when it happens, worrying, often expensive etc etc but it all comes out in the wash eventually and the stress diminishes. 3. Renovating is a stressful, tiring, emotional, joyous, despairing, fun, knackering, dusty, dirty, looks 1000 time’s worse before it looks better, expensive, hugely satisfying beast! 4. You are doing an awesome job. 5. I love your style. 6. I personally love viewing mixed videos on a channel. If you usually post interior design videos and one day want to post a fashion video, go for it. And vice versa. 7. What the hell are you going to fill your time with once the renovations are complete?! You won’t know what to do with yourselves! 8. Would still love to see interior content once the house is complete, even if it’s pointing out things you are living, even if not purchased. 9. Happy Valentine’s Day! 10. Not got a 10 but felt wrong not to round it up! X

You absolutely have one of the best reno series I’ve found on KZitem. I’m not interested in the fashion stuff but I’m always exited to see a new renovation video pop up. You have such a calm yet thorough way of showing what you guys are up too. ...and it looks absolutely gorgeous when it’s done!

I do enjoy your fashion videos but I LOVE the Reno updates! I think seeing all the hard work that goes into each room makes it SO much more satisfying to the see the progress rather than just seeing a before and after! I really admire how much work you’ve put in so far and how you both stay in such good spirits. You are doing such an incredible job, I think most of us here are now so invested in your beautiful home that we’ll be around for as long as you are happy to post videos! 💕

Your house is becoming a beautiful home. Went through a remodel with my parents, now I am going through one with my child... "This should be the final day of dust." Dust is evil, it finds all nooks and crannies, then comes out at the worst moments.

who cares about the finished product! The renovation itself is what makes it special and worth watching. Following you and ollie along with all of this, the good and the very bad, is so much more fun to watch. It just so relatable not just to see the perfect end of things but the hard work it takes for all of us normal people to get a dream house like yours will be.

Happy Valentines Day to you and Ollie! Love seeing the layers come off the walls. So time consuming, yet satisfying taking off the wall paper. Hope that the leak is a minimal problem with a minimal fix. You are both working so hard. It will be worth all that time and energy in the end. Keep yourselves healthy and try to get sleep. Enjoy your dinner party tonight and I look forward to your next video. ❤️

The renovation videos are my absolute favorite!!! So interesting to see the process, and so rewarding to see the result! As for the roof leak, I so feel for you.. Honestly these problems are never solved with the first attempt. My parents' house has a minor leakage, and we cannot seem to find what is the problem. As for us, the upstairs apartment's balcony causes us a huge problem and is still not entirely fixed, we will try again this summer... I honestly hope you can fix the roof problem and never ever have to deal with it again! As for those commenting about not having done enough research, they do not know what they are talking about, you are obviously doing a great job!

1) When I made the trip from across the pond to London, I was totally flabbergasted when confronted with a sink with separate hot/cold faucets. What the fudge?? Had the Brits never heard of a mixing valve? HA! You know, one faucet, one handle, the ability to get hot or cold, or a nice in between temp when washing your face? What do you do when you want to wash your face? Fill the sink up with your mixed water? The sink that you just spit your toothpaste into or washed your dirty hands in? Errgh!! 2) That upstairs room that you have removed the floorboards in. Might want to think about putting insulation in between the floorboards for sound insulation between that room and the room below. It helps. Depending on how much work you want to do, might think about pulling up the floorboards in the other rooms, including the bathroom, to do the same. And don't forget that stud wall your going to moved/replace. Put insulation in that wall for sound insulation cuz no one needs to hear anything from that room! 3) The squeaky floorboards can be fixed in several ways. You can take the time to replace all the nails with countersink screws (using a counterbore drill bit) and cover the screw heads with plugs. Or, you can find the squeaky places and use a special screw just in those spots. These screws are called snap-off or break-away screws because once they are screwed in, you snap the head off and only the shank remains in the wood and just needs some wood filler to hide. Or, if your saving money/time and using the same nails over again (if possible), or even new flooring nails, you can sink the nail tips in wood glue before using and that 'should' keep them from working loose as a result of the flooring flexing over time. Just don't walk on the floorboards until after the glue has had time to set. Hope some of this helps. Really enjoying watching your progress! And Laura, I also would have been in tears with that stupid leak. They are so hard to find sometimes because they can start in one place and travel along a beam or other piece of wood until it hits just that right gravity spot before it drips. When it starts dripping again, you might want to go up to the attic with a really high powered light and carefully inspect every inch of the roof to see if you find where it is originating from. Best of luck!

I work for a place that does roofing and from what I've picked up roof leaks can be very hard to fix as it might be coming from multiple points or the source of the leak can be a lot further away than you would imagine it to be. Also you can only see a leak when it's raining but you can't be on the roof in the rain. Good luck on sorting the issue 😊

Would it be possible to rotate the toilet in that upstairs bathroom so that it is oriented along the long axis of the room, facing the vanity with the tank on the wall with the door? Obviously you would need a bit of space between the vanity and the toilet, and between the toilet and the wall on the side. Not sure of the feasibility of the layout since I don't know the dimensions of the room, but it might make it feel less like the door opening would whack someone in the knees if someone forgets to lock it.
