My 2011 6.7 is at 282,000 miles, 14,000 engine hours, deleted at 247,000. It too has been mostly a real world truck, farmed most of its life, towed, idled a lot and I don’t cut it any slack, now it’s on 40 inch tires and gets drove daily, it’s had ball joints, wheel bearings, brakes, a coolant hose, ac compressor, cold side charge pipe and a turbo that’s it. Take it from me, the ccv needs to be taken care of, it’s caused me major oil leaks as well. And also 9 out of 10 problems with these 6r140 transmissions are valve body related, yours is probably fine and just needs a valve body

Oil sample comes back great every time. I want to run it farther but just cant get around the mental sude haha If i drove all hwy i would change it every 20k Fuel filters every 30k still look clean Use mine to go to snowmobiling in Idaho from eastern ND. This SOB will yank my enclosed 90mph down i90 with no issue. Never shifts out of 6th. Agree on the fuel additive and over maintenance statements. Mine gets treated the exact same way. @JacobOverman Honestly, it's mostly the upkeep and overcomplexity that drives me away. This was a decent result for a modern diesel, but maintenance at this stage in the truck's life gets even more expensive than usual. Almost any job requires lifting the cab. EGRs and DEF in modern diesels knock their longevity down to about the same lifespan as a well maintained gasser. The 7.3 is extremely simple for a modern gas engine, and almost anyone can work on it. There's tons of room under the hood to work, and the biggest trade-off to me is less overall power/torque and a less than ideal torque band. The 10 speed and 4.30 axle gears largely fix this however.

@@dave_drags it's the rv conversion. 1986. Hedman hedders, rv cam and springs. Don't tow with it often but it pulled my trailer and 2 side by sides. It outlasted five of my dad's Silverados. Your Ford's too I'm sure. IDC about towing capacity, speed, acceleration, HP,.. not when I get there with it my entire life, not just maybe a decade in domestic. Domestic dealers need you to come back, so they will never build them for life. Toyota know you'll be back cause it will last a lifetime with just oil changes and brakes. - I'm only talking highly of Toyotas only built in Japan. Look on the vin plate on the door to be sure. You've been duped all of your life my fellow American and will prob continue to do so willingly. Smh. Sorry for your fam

Always some Yo-yota fan on a F/C/R-D video telling how great their incapable sushi truck is. We don't care, neither dose the truck market..

If you have so many problems with people fixing your truck then why don’t you fix it yourself? Legit question

#1 reason is I’m working 7 days a week right now trying to catch up and 2 I didn’t have the equipment to charge/discharge the AC system. I figured they could then handle all the other small issues. Besides that. Ford also has 2 year warranty on parts and labor so kinda hard to beat if they do it right. I do most the basics myself.
