I love your travel philosophy. Lmao I gotta comment this right at 3:10. I’ve seen so many (or most of all) videos on youtube insta doing travel vlog just all about Food and ‘best popular must-try’ spots (and bam, that’s what Vietnam is like). Yes there’s nothing wrong, the food, the friendly people, the places, but there’re so much more. The slower you go and embrace normal things, the deeper you study about the culture, the more you understand. And understanding is important, because once you get it, you dont have to rely any guides or videos but create your own unique tour instead. Anyway, just love your slow travel style and I hope you guys all the best on your journey.

Awe, thank you for that! I big reason why we show travel (not only because of cost savings) but to find a place to live one day. I couldn't possibly say, yep let's but a place here, only having visited a short time! Plus, I want to know what the "instagram" spots are REALLY like.....I want to see the reality of a country! Thank you for appreciating our travel style ❤️

Hi Val, Any plan vlogging from local wet market? When I travel, I love going to the wet market where the locals go.😂

Hi there! I honestly haven't even seen a wet market here.... we've seen people selling raw meat, like beef and chicken.... but not a wet market like Thailand..... thanks for the suggestion and if I come across you, I will 👍 😊 thanks

Did you say Thailand in January? Where in Thailand? We have switched from the Canadian stick deodorant, when in Rome…. Did you know there is an excellent product by Nivea? Roll on deodorant that is lemongrass. We brought 6 bottles home from Malaysia at Christmas. We’ll be buying more in Thailand next week. To be quite honest we gave up looking for stick deodorant and got accustomed to the residue free or invisible roll on. Happy new year and safe travels.

Hi there! Yes, we'll be in Thailand end of January for a month! Yes, I totally understand the "when in Rome".... I'll have to keep my eye out for the lemon grass...I love lemon grass, thank you. Happy new year to you as well!

When you are in a place for 3 months say Hanoi what do you do with your time? How do you meet locals and or expats? Language classes, or some other thing?

@@wattstraveling HCMC is more westernised than Hanoi. It is similar to Singapore or KL. Hanoi was destroyed during the war with 3 years of daily bombing. It is still developing.

another great vlog. slow travel is much more enjoyable...way too rushed otherwise. btw, every i time i see your videos you remind of the actress helen hunt lol.

I think slow travel gives you a good understanding of where you are and whether or not it's a place you could live long term which is what we hope to find! I don't like watching "best things to do video" from people who spend a week in a country. Helen Hunt, eh?..... well I will take that as a compliment 😊 thank you! ❤️
@JJMA52
9 ай бұрын
yeah its a compliment! haha Another point is that Slow Travel is more niche on KZitem... too much of the 'how to spend 24 hours or 2 days in Bangkok' or 'top 10 things to do in Hanoi'..it basically becomes the same...
